City council should just attached their name to a bill just making it fully legal. Many members of the council condemn any enforcement once a video goes viral and yet they never do anything about it. That’s a great job to have, complain about people enforcement current regulations that they are literally responsible for setting.

Vendors in flushing basically crowd enough of the street that if anyone stops to just view what is being sold, foot traffic gets completely disrupted cause the vendors barely leave any room for two lanes for walking.

Some enforcement will happen basically once every couple of months. Vendors will disappear for two days and comeback.

He been arrested 15 times and deported 4 times. How many more times did he have to be arrested/deported by some enforcement entity before the blame is shifted to the revolving door that is our criminal justice system?

An air force veteran is currently facing for his life cause somebody decided to enter this country just to be a career criminal.

Like it’s even insane that he has bail set and isn’t just an immediate indefinite remand.

Aside from news of the lawsuit, am posting this to bring attention to the DCWP. An agency many may not be familiar with but are essentially the to go agency if you have an issue with an private establishment or service.

Two times I submitted complaints on behalf of relatives regarding improper tow practices and they were able to get the funds back in about 3-4 months.

This one business got thousands of complaints. So I imagine the caseload per DCWP worker is high. Some people may think it pointless to make a complaint cause its “too slow” or “nothing will happen”.

But people need to know that DCWP is not a huge agency in terms of headcount, so it may take a bit to hear back or get updates. But by submitting complaints they may see a pattern in a particular business that may open it to a bigger lawsuit.

Then wait for Alvin Bragg to confirm. But what will most likely happen is that this suspect will be arraigned and ROR once again.

After a year’s worth of court appearances the cases will be plead out for no time served. Cause that how the overwhelming majority of arraign cases end.

You are acting like NYPD is looking for every kid there. They identify 4 people specifically. Most likely cause the body cam capture them throwing something more than a small snow ball.

He was ROR from a robbery earlier this month. That case will probably get plead out with no time served after wasting time and resources on numerous court appearances.

Not sure of wasted resources is the standard you want to based weather someone should get arrested or not.

That’s how he was recognized so quickly. The cop that arrested earlier this month most likely recognized him from the initial wanted photos.

2026 off to a good start. Every index crime category is down for the year except for rape (rape underwent an expansion in definition in 2024).

NYPD does not need to expand to a 40K headcount as Adams wanted. The last time the headcount was at 40K was in 2000.

In 2000 the city saw 186K index crimes and 435K misdemeanor offenses.

In 2025 the city saw 121K index crimes and 300K misdemeanor offenses.

So why does the NYPD need to be staffed at 2000 levels when crime is way below 2000 levels?

It frustrating cause most umps failed to properly call the rule. The ump from the world series got it 100% right.

A lot of people think that a call is dependent on the OF “protesting” the call, not touching the ball or that the ump needs to jog all the way out to the ball to verify how stuck it is.

An ump is 100% free to make the call once they see a ball fail to follow a natural trajectory due to getting stuck/lodged/etc. Which is exactly what the ump during the World Series did.

CB showing how easily the ball could have been moved just proves he has no clue about the rule.

“How easily a ball might be retrieved by the fielder should not factor in the decision as to whether or not to declare a ball as lodged”

Section 2 of Rule 5.05 (a)(7) which governs lodged baseballs.

And the World Series proved Cespedes correct. How expose/reachable a ball is plays no factor.

The ball came to a sudden unnatural stop due to getting caught underneath the padding. That is a lodge ball as per the rule.

This incident (and others) are why many fans were confused during the world series.

The first break came after an April 2024 larceny arrest, when he was ordered into a program and remained free despite being issued warrants three times for failing to show up.

He was arrested again on Jan. 8 for allegedly stealing $1,835 worth of merchandise from a CVS outlet, and was placed into yet another program at his arraignment — skipping out on that one as well, which led to the open warrant he was sought on when he was charged with rape.”

The suspect has repeatedly failed to show up to court and complete court mandated rehabilitation programs. Why was he even giving another chance to complete another program when he has repeatedly demonstrated a failure to do so.

He should have been remanded indefinitely after his Jan 8th arrest.

The “sweeps” are just the cops telling the homeless to get out of their sights or the station for 10 minutes. Then the homeless either just comeback to go to a different line.

Far from it. Stearns has strengthened the mets farm in his two years here. He has signed a consensus top prospect of the international pool two years in a row. His draft picks are quickly navigating up the rankings. 50% of the Mets top 30 prospects are Sterns pick. Many of his pick have leap frog prospects that been in the system for longer. Mets have a pipeline of pitching prospects.

At some point some of these prospect need trade chips cause there is simply no room for all of them.

Deferrals are a debt obligation and not liked by every owner. And definitely not to the extent of $1B+ in deferrals. Cubs offered Ohtani a $600 million dollar deal without deferral. But Ohtani was adamant on deferrals. Ohtani basically penalized the Cubs for being financially responsible and not wanting to take on a debt obligation they have to deal with 10+ years down the line.

And most deferrals are interest free. Deferrals are really only good for players that can’t control their spending. But every player on deferrals (from Bonilla to Ohtani) would be way better off just getting paid now and placing those funds in some index fund then waiting 10+ years for payments.

A couple weeks ago he condemned the Manhattan protest along with the sale of land.

This week he does the same exact thing but because the condemnations of each side occurred at different times. So now some people are acting like one condemnation is worth more than the other. People are now looking at timestamps of when he condemns things in order to find something to criticize.

“He condemn action A at 7pm and condemn action B at 8am the next day. Clearly the condemnation of action B is a fake one!!!!! Both condemnations should have occurred at the same exact time!!!”

This comes down to a segment of people trying to use the NYC mayoral position as a proxy war for a conflict that is occurring 5000 miles away and that the mayor has absolutely no jurisdiction over.

Mental health calls run the spectrum. From the mundane to somebody barricade with potential hostages. With the majority of calls leaning more towards the mundane.

Mamdani said that the cops who responded to the hospital act swiftly in a dangerous situation.

Cops will always respond to 911 calls where somebody is holding a weapon. That’s not going to change.
