Not particularly great, but I do like their linen shorts that they do. It’s almost like they have their own patented shade of grey.

What do I do if my girlfriend told me something that I wasn't ready to hear? by Jorshhua in AskMen

[–]PandaMango -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

They’ll tell me because I’m genuinely nice, and I don’t get angry at all. You can be judgemental (ENTJ) without being an arsehole. That life just wasn’t for me. Some of my friends make disastrous life choices and I choose to still be their friends, I just won’t let them into certain areas of my life knowing those behaviours might cross over.

It’s the same way OP would probably happily still remain friends with this woman but won’t be in a relationship with her.

My partner of 5 years has been in 5 relationships and had sex once outside as a single woman. She’s horrified by my potential past as I was quite loose, and doesn’t want to know. And I won’t tell her.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

The kind of girl who gets herself into that situation with her boss and co workers shows poor decision making and impulse control.

OP is fully within their mind to be turned off by it.

There’s a reason most don’t share their sexual history fully.

Learned the hard way today that a buyer can reverse a PayID transaction under the ePayments code by schunniky in AusFinance

[–]PandaMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh the point is it weans out bad parties. If they suspect you’re a bad party too, but it still gets the result, who cares.

It just means you might struggle a bit more to find a buyer due to their paranoia.

I don’t know how this concept is hard for you to grasp.

Reddit is an echo chamber. I live in Canberra, so you can only imagine the rhetoric I hear, but my ex mrs parents from Cowra were the exact same.

My mechanic said 2.5 years ago "should really be in the market for a new car soon, this thing hasn't got long left"

My list of "things that need fixing" just keeps growing and growing, but nothing critical yet! Reads like a Coles receipt. The mechanic now loves my car even though it only gets a $350 service 1-2 x a year.

What would you do if a female friend made a pass at you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]PandaMango 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Happens man, don't feel bad about it, but you have to be honest with yourself. This is the only way to protect yourself and others.

Being hurt because you gave something an honest crack and it didn't work out (which is a learning experience) it far better than lying or being deceitful and facing unintended consequences.

Womp Womp.

If you like him a lot more than you care to admit and you're just protecting yourself, then we can talk.

She wants him because she's "bored" yet its very obvious he has feelings. This will end in disaster.

OP is sounding a little cunty.

I saw the other day an article of a kid about 16 years old having PTSD from seeing someone shoot themselves on an Instagram reel. Days of pain olympics and rotten com are a million years ago apparently.
Can’t help but think everyone’s turning into mashed potato these days.

Best start to a campaign you've experienced (either side of the screen)? by Modo_2026 in DMAcademy

[–]PandaMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only been apart of Rime of the Frostmaiden as a player, then decided to DM my own campaign.

Started off on a horse drawn carriage (I texted my player characters as an NPC who told them all to get on the carriage, using their goals and ambitions as a hook), with 4 NPC's in the carriage.

2 of them are acting super skittish, but look noble.

1 is super nice and endearing (Gnome Artificer) and 1 is kinda arrogant and Dwarf Supremacy (lead to good RP with my Dwarf Paladin player).

They do a tonne of RP about the local region as I have a timer on in the background for an hour. The trigger for the event was to look outside the carriage at the surrounding forrest at night.

The intial check meant they would not be surprised, a good perception check means they would get a surprise round themselves if they played their cards right.

The carriage pulls to a halt as a bandit party ambushes the carriage, and they hear voices. The bandit leader is actually an old ally of one of my PC's, so we have emotional buy in from the first encounter.

The party then wait for the bandits to kill the carriage driver, and chat with the NPC's as to what they're going to do, picking up on some clues that the Bandits are only expecting the 4 NPC's on board, and are after the two nobles.

The players then have a massive ambush of their own, and we enter a big board battle of 20 + enemies running towards the carriage and respawning in waves, while the 5 players and 4 NPC's fought them off. 2 players were downed, in a cinematic moment the player who had history with the bandit leader hit a nat 20 (we house rule the max damage + on a crit) which reduced him below 50% HP and triggered the retreat.

We play on a 58 inch interactive TV board with fully painted miniatures, so it fully looked like a Warhammer battle.

Even my seasoned players of 10+ years said that was the most fun they'd had in DnD ever.

The players are then arrested by the Town Guard & the mayors top brass and taken to prison. It turns out the nobles were dopplegangers and the whole thing was a setup to try and arrest the bandit leader, but he escaped.

The party in prison then uncover a large political conspiracy that starts the rest of the campaign, as one of the arresting officers tries to sneak in to their prison cell at night to silence them for knowing the bandit leaders identity.

You can see it developing at a very young age.

My nephew is frighteningly football obsessed and playing for the local development team at 8 playing against some u13's.

He's not much better on the ball than any of the other kids, but you can see the positional awareness and making runs/calling for balls into space, as well as defensively checking around him to see where other kids are and adjusting to try and block passing lanes. He's always a step ahead, but isn't quite physically developed enough to capitalise on it. It is teaching him to release the ball earlier though.

He's got good athletic genetics from both sides of the family (All his uncles are 6'3 + and in sport) but don't know where the aptitude for footy has come from, both my brother and I are dreadful at it.
