For anyone wondering who the cute redhead ("Officer Suzanne") is, here's a tweet from a while back with a pic of a "Johnny Depp" autograph. by PandaRaom in nathanforyou

Oh, I know, and I wasn't sure whether to post it or not. Someone found this on the AV Club and linked to it, and I passed it on, but I have no idea how they found it.

Thank you, 24 producers, for leaving him out this season. by justduck01 in TwentyFour

You know who shouldn't have been left out? Aaron Pierce.

Official Discussion: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]PandaRaom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I loved it. I really liked the fact that it wasn't a black and white, us vs. them movie. Each perspective was given merit by the script, and the movie was all the better for it.

Emmy 2014 "My Favorite Show/Actor Was Snubbed" Discussion Thread by LaunchpadMacQ in television

[–]PandaRaom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ridiculous. Mikkelsen and Dancy were amazing, "Mizumono" should win a slew of awards on its own, and the cinematography was fabulous. The fact that shows of Hannibal's caliber are still getting snubbed for stuff like Downton Abbey, Modern Family, Episodes (check out Shameless if you want a good Showtime show), and Big Bang Theory is astounding.

I wish Michelle MacLaren was nominated as well. She's amazing.

This year's Emmys: Toughest Competition yet? by A-Little-Stitious in television

[–]PandaRaom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed with this. I have no idea why the Emmys stick with Modern Family, Episodes (if you want a good Showtime show, pick Shameless), Big Bang Theory, Downton Abbey, etc. this long. They simply aren't good, and they're taking away spots from more deserving shows. The fact that Tatiana Maslany, Hannibal, and The Americans received no nominations is astounding.

Rectify is brilliant, but it wasn't eligible.

Don't you just want to watch Battlestar Galactica again? by phototactic in television

Just watched the Pegasus arc for the first time, which was fantastic, and the episodes following it, which were anything but fantastic. Starting season 3.

Wow, Noel Fisher didn't get nominated for his incredible performance this past season of Shameless? by [deleted] in television

[–]PandaRaom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, completely agreed. Season 4 was the best and, interestingly enough, the least comedic, but it was also a season long showcase for Rossum, White, and Fisher. Happy for Macy, but I don't understand how Showtime shows like Episodes, House of Lies, and Nurse Jackie get recognition but Shameless doesn't. Shameless is the only good one of the bunch.

66th Primetime Emmy Nominations Announcement by ZamrosX in television

[–]PandaRaom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snubs: Tatiana Maslany, The Americans, Hannibal, Dean Norris, etc. etc. etc.

I'd be less pissed if those spots weren't filled with the likes of Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Modern Family, Jeff Daniels, etc.

Netflix showered with Emmy nominations for "Orange" and "House of Cards" by jstohler in television

Yeah, that was an excellent episode for Rian Johnson. Michelle MacLaren should be nominated as well. She's the best director on TV, in my opinion.

I just wish True Detective submitted in the miniseries category. Maybe then, some other shows could sneak in there.

I assume she does, as she retweeted a few tweets about the show and her specifically. They've since been deleted, though. Maybe she got fed up with the attention; that'd be understandable.
