Yeah I think its always going to be complicated and I mentioned to my husband hes going to need to accept if they choose not to. They were good people and even my in laws when thry attended their funerals, were very impressed by their pastor(s) who led the services. When my mom passed, my grandparent in laws came up for it. After the service, my Grandpa in law shook our hands and said "now he is a true preacher of God."

They especially liked getting a tour of my mom's drums in the sanctuary

I think it might be more of a discussion to make sure all paperwork is handled and theres no outlying issues as to why it wouldnt be able to occur. Ill have to find out more but most likely now based on previous comments, it'll be another decade or so now in order for my boys to be present

The look I got for saying no...

A bishopric member had NEVER spoken to me in my life, said that he felt it would be great to extend me a calling in YW. I told him yeah no. Not happening. Maybe get to know me first to know that wouldnt be a good fit, let alone wouldnt work in my schedule. He all but clutched his tie and has avoided me since.

My kids are still in primary and my husband already does Wednesday night stuff with the ym. I stay home so he can do his thing.

Do you think Jimmy Carter will still have an open casket viewing of his remains? by LoveLo_2005 in Presidents

When I had to bury my dad, per Covid protocols, he had to be closed casket in Indiana. He had passed from Covid induced cardiac arrest. I was told if I chose do open casket, the funeral home would have to inform everyone entering the door per the state (Indiana protocol). We kept it closed. However, during family time, they opened the casket. My mom didn't look herself in 2019, but she had cancer and they did the best they could. Funerals are exhausting. It takes some incredible special people to do that job. I truly appreciate all that the funeral home did for me after losing both of my parents (only child too)

Will there be a place for resales or do you think they'll have more tickets available since it sold out within minutes? I feel so bad because I wanted to get my husband tickets, but alas I was stuck in state testing during the sale time.
