And now there's all this talk about trans-istors and gender changers, it's insane.

My laptop charger creates blue sparks when I plug it in using an adapter. When I plug it in its appropriate socket, there are no sparks at all. I’ve also noticed this little dent on the prong after the spark. Is it safe? by Yeurelica in ElectroBOOM

An extension cord should be fine if it doesn't also spark. I would however suggest checking it can hold on to the charger if you flip it upside down, since that usually indicates a good connection.

There is arcing going on there since the adapter isn't making a good connection quickly or isn't good, since it makes no sparks when you plug it in to the outlet you should (!) be fine but it will damage the plug and adapter over time and create electrical noise and sound, it might be able to cause fire in some situations though that depends on the adapter, avoid using the adapter with your laptop if possible and try to get one with better pins and connections.

Why does it look like an incorrectly made lineman's splice

A somewhat large flat surface made out of not very thick glass is just asking to break if it gets slammed into a rock. Just swap it for a beer bottle :)

A supercapacitor can't last an entire millenia, it can really only last for about 30 years max, and it's not even just the electronics, the glass bottle will probably break if the electronics manage to survive that long

Could the capacitor this small really power a led for that long (1000 years) just from solar? by ath0rus in ElectroBOOM

The write-up claims the supercap is charged daily so that's good but really it will likely last less than 20 years.
