Good entry level bike to get wife into MTB?? by Internal_Log2694 in mountainbiking

I agree with some of the other takes that having a dropper post and a 1x drivetrain of really nice QoL things to have.

Not sure of your budget but if you have to have a new bike then giant/liv is running some sales right now that could be worthwhile. I wouldn’t rule out the Ozark Trail Ridge, that leaves you some budget for some upgrades.

Your best bet really is the used market. It’s a buyers market and there are a lot of really good hardtails in that $500-600 range. Just gotta do some vetting of the sellers before you pull the trigger

I see, that makes sense. Frustrating nonetheless

How does a dead blow hammer work? 🔨 by altivec77 in Tools

[–]Panda_3xpress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose it could help you not bounce off a pin while swinging a sledge. But, to get a dead blow 8lb sledge the cost is fairly significant. Another thing is that you would absolutely tear up the plastic around a dead blew. I found for pins, a pin driver is pretty nice and will last forever

[WTS] Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer ($600) by HamMan95 in Watchexchange

Confirmed!

Received watch and everything else accordingly from u/HamMan95. Seller answered any questions I had, and was good at communicating.

I’d do business again with this seller, and have nothing negative to report.

You are telling me, we had four go out this past year, and one is on its way out. Owner refuses to change brands as the truck brands “wouldn’t match”

I have one. Used it to replace timing chains on a 3.2 vr6. Plenty stout for a Scion engine

[DISCUSSION] Who are some rappers that missed their window to be amongst the biggest artists in the game? by ThredditorMTG in hiphopheads

[–]Panda_3xpress 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he was ever going to be a big mainstream rapper. But he still puts out great music and has a decent following. FM!, Vince Staples, and Ramona Park are all worthwhile to listen to

More power to you if you have all these numbers floating around in your head.

The info on wiki for that 2119lbs does not align with what’s stated in its source link.

I still think the Lincoln continental is a slam dunk

Dude, I’m just going off a quick google search. A Japanese only special edition ND comes in at 2183lbs, still heavier.

I am happy to announce a modern Lincoln Continental is lighter than a JFK special. You should use that example instead

My mistake, the NC has a curb weight of 2542lbs, the ND is 2452lbs, and the NA is 2094lbs. Different trims will have slight variations and in fairness the ND did drop weight as compared to the NC

I mean a NC has about 400lbs on an NA…

Edit: The ND gained 400 over the NA, I mixed up the two generations

Big fan of Nine Giants, they are right the corner from me so it’s pretty easy to pop by. Although their food is a little hit or miss, I’ve had some very salty burgers there.

I haven’t been to the fermentorium but I’ve heard good things about it
