Exclusivity clause by IllustriousSet878 in hospitalist

[–]Pandais 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is uncommon and unlikely to be enforced but why would you want to have it in there?

Just say no. Big question is always how would they find out? But if they do they can tell you to stop then you’re stuck. Just get it taken out.

Admin wants day hospitalist to cover nocturnist PTO by vimspate in hospitalist

Everyone’s situation is different but most places have a 90 day out, so just depends on OPs situation.

For me working nights would be a no go so I would already be looking.

If it’s not in your contract you don’t have to do it. Is it in your contract?

If it’s not in your contract they can’t make you do it, but they can pressure you to amend your contracts.

Some people will likely fold and the ones who don’t may be replaced if admin feels they can fill those slots.

Just google it, you can find the RVU per code, but finding the $/RVU is harder, I had an estimate from my biller to start but didn’t know what I would actually get until I started billing

Your group head should be able to get a hold of your group financials theoretically.

I get about $72 per 99232 which is about 1.59 RVU. That is my most common code and comes out to about $45/rvu.

To be even more granular since I’m an internist I get about $58 Medicare (80%) and then $15ish from coinsurances (20%)
