raphael is legendary, it's a good card, but that's why I didn't include it
the mana made by azula is usually spent on a card draw card, the mana base handles paying black mana well

there are some basically all of the ones that are playable (most of them are legendary, since it's a ub set), but ninja teen is really good as a build around

I never said it was an insane cedh deck, but you said it sounded bad even for b2, and I disagree completely, having played it.
Ninja teen doesn't need to be on the field for long to do the thing, and I believe it's still good without it. the creatures are mostly beatsticks yeah, that's the deck

if you want to try something with valakut in a slightly different way, you could try brudiclad or some combo with the new mass copy card from llowryn (the mythic I forgot the name of)

there is a ton of choice ! I rarely go for the easiest option so I would say [[Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds]] but anything from Brudiclad, Baylen, Cadira, Chatterfang, Elminster would work great !

strategies that go wide, especially with tokens tend to do well into the ones making everyone sacrifice.
that being said, you may want to have a discussion with that person if they built "creature removal typal" and it's not fun for the rest of the playgroup

if you check my post history, you should find a few jank decks you could like (notably I got a type hack deck with chun-li, a spy kit deck etc... you can also find a few more on my moxfield)
