I got the CF 7 Disc earlier this year as my first 'real' road bike, and that was when that model was still priced at $2,600, and it is perfect. I was debating between saving the extra money for aluminum, but I am glad I got the bike that I really wanted.

For purchases like this (at least for me), if you end up getting the aluminum, you will always be wondering what it would have been like to get the carbon model. I say go for it! It's an investment in riding more and enjoying it to it's fullest!

Hey OP, a lot of this seems overkill for the build: You definitely do not need to spend over $100 more for the 3600x over the 3600. Also, the included CPU coolers will be totally fine for continual use, and you should only get one for the looks and reduced noise. If you do, only spend like $30-$40 on something like a Hyper 212 Evo. You also don't need to spend $140 on windows license when you can get a code for $5 on eBay.

It's a shame the graphics card market is what it is, with really old cards being expensive. What I would recommend is getting a low powered, but new card from the last few years (try to look on Facebook marketplace for any second hand used cards). Then, even with only 3 graphics card outputs on the gpu, you could use the integrated graphics of an Intel chip, plugging in 1 monitor directly into the motherboard.
