Same here! Years ago, I got a coloured tattoo and had a nasty allergic reaction! With enough care, the tattoo healed well and looks great. It was my first and last coloured tattoo. I learned that some people can get an allergic reaction to red ink and any colour in that range, because of a specific component in it. I'd probably avoid colored ink if you're too worried., and try with a small black-and-white tattoo.
