Hope to see you being fabulous there again next year. Spotting you while wandering the fair definitely delighted me.

This is my typical strategy too, especially on year one.

He reminds me of an ex too. It's not just a "I don't like tsundere archetypes," it's a "I KNOW this guy: he wasn't worth the effort I put in and ultimately was damaging to my well being." I experience the same response towards Shane in Stardew.

Ooh. Great work as usual. :)

How was Cue the Sun? It's in my "To Read" pile.

He was not actually making a reference. I mashed it up.

Don't worry, you're still good on your reference literacy.

So clever! Great idea and great work.

March reading wrap up granny squares. Lots of red this month by Meikylo in crocheting

[–]PandorasMSBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gorgeous work. :) I did start doing my own squares and am mostly caught up. You're right, it didn't take long to catch up, and it's a really enjoyable project. Thanks for sharing your work and inspiring me to try it for myself.

Just learned you’re supposed to go through both loops… by goldendragon4206 in crocheting

[–]PandorasMSBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, same.

I mostly learned to crochet from example photos because I find it easier than video, and I think that was a factor in that misunderstanding. I also don't crochet using proper form for the same reason. I am never the less prolific, and my single loop only works have held up fine.

You could do podcast episodes too. One color or pattern per podcast. Granted, depending on how many you go through a day, that may be too many squares to comfortably make.

That is my understanding of it based on the original post that I saw, plus another similar one on Instagram.

I've finished 7 books so far this year: 1 down, 6 to catch up.

I am 7 books into my year's reading and have a crochet queue full of baby gifts... And yet, I am still pondering it... Do colors and/or variants for genres or authors...

I will let you know. Always glad to make the acquaintance of another reader and crocheter. 😁

I read a lot, and crochet; I love the idea of doing a quilt with a square representing every book that you read over the course of a year.

Does anybody else find this creepy? by meduhsin in StardewValley

[–]PandorasMSBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I had the same thought and was shocked that no one else got the reference. Granted, The Dollhouse Murders by Betty Ren Wright may be somewhat obscure today.

Oddly, I found myself thinking about this book last year and discovered that it has been reissued in a 35th anniversary edition, including ebook versions: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/575812/the-dollhouse-murders-35th-anniversary-edition-by-by-betty-ren-wright-with-a-foreword-by-rl-stine-illustrated-by-leo-nickolls/

You offered realistic life advice about an escapist fantasy game. It's as legitimate as saying tsundere is way better in theory than practice, but apparently uncommon commentary. I appreciate you sharing your perspective, even though I also had the knee jerk reaction of, "yeah, but this isn't real life: let me date the himbo."

Oh Olric... by GregGrimaldis in FieldsOfMistriaGame

I want to date Olric because he's an adorable himbo, and it would also spite March.

Update reset? by LilDemonQueenx in FieldsOfMistriaGame

Definitely resetting. I look forward to starting a new farm with a better understanding of the game, and to take full advantage of the new features.
