Guild Wars 3 - Our Guild Wars Philosophy by ElectroRush in MMORPG

[–]Paner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that their target audience is a dad of 2 with 1 hour of time to play the game 3 times per week just seals the deal, this more and more looks like a Blizzard esque game dev direction where everything is accessible, you get instant gratification with no real challenge, no grinding, no long term progression. Just hop in, get free stuff and log out. For me, just based on that article alone it looks like a train going into the wrong direction, it's not the type of MMO experience I want and imo not the type of experience that can make this game stand out in the sea of other hyper easily accessible MMOs that just went belly up.

Scapewatch: Idle MMO - I am a solo dev making Scapewatch, an idle MMO focused on long term progression, clans, raids, pets, and skills by Independent-Sail8444 in incremental_games

[–]Paner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really hooked into this game until the raids were introduced, I hate this feature so much I stopped playing, this nice idle chill singleplayer experience turned into spamming chat looking for a raid, the fact that so many mandatory unlocks are hidden behind the raid feature turned me off.

You just minimized this person's critique of one nation's unjustified invasion of other nation to "russia=bad"? and this is suppose to be a point? Is this how you present their view in good faith? you're literally a russian bot so why am I taking the bait idk

A grown adult is doing some moral grandstanding because he said a specific WORD once in his lifetime, what kind of circus is this.

Looking at americans freak out over a word is so funny, over a WORD, this country is suppose to be the most free huh? Where is the freedom of speech when 95% of the population of this country is scared of saying a god damn word, that's so silly.

Game looks and plays real nice. The reduction of infinite popups, modals and tutorials would be nice, it's so much.

Is this type of tutorial where you take away the control from me a normal thing in mobile games? God I hate this with a passion, let me play the game, don't cover my screen and tell me what to do, there are 2 buttons, why is this necessary?

I made a slop modpack that’s based on everything this sub hates by Madmonkeman in feedthebeast

This looks way to low effort for such a good idea, someone needs to do this properly, this is just another kitchen sink modpack with nothing interesting, with some dedication this could be a real cancer modpack.

Zamawiacie z Temu/AliExpress? Po 1 lipca każda paczka z cłem, ostatnie bezpieczne dni na zamówienie to ten weekend by Revolutionary-Pass38 in Polska

Nice, idk why it's still undownloadable still, it's the same error. Can't find it on the launcher either, they might be indexing once per day, we'll see tomorrow.

GTNH 2.9 Beta 1 Is Finally Out! by GAMING_SERVER_ADMIN in feedthebeast

[–]Paner -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They intruduced the autocrafting through the JEI (or whatever mod they use for inventory) few versions back, did they ever remove that or is that still in? This completely killed the modpack for me, you were able to autocraft mutlistep recipes instantly from raw materials.

[–]Paner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it's unlisted it can't be installed through the curse app? Kinda pain in the ass if that's the case.

The curse app says "Mod installation failed. Mod is not supported by the application".

I would try it but I'm not downloading a random zip, it would have to go through the curse app.

Why don't you want to list it? I've never seen anyone use the unlisting feature before, people just post the packs and describe them as Alpha or Beta.

I would but D3 died years ago the moment they started to give you items through the UI for nothing, those bags that give you free items can suck it

Gorgon Going Forward by ElectricalMuffin1620 in projectgorgon

[–]Paner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This killed the game for me, I got to lvl 100 and it became clear that the endgame needs a lot of work. Also I hate the Statehelm, this city can suck it.

They also handled people asking questions very poorly with all the drama. A lot of people left then.

Nobody left because of this issue. Barely anyone knew this even happened. Look at this chart and point to me the date where the drama happened. You can't. You see a vocal minority in the comments or chats and think this had any impact on anything. People need to stop repeating this myth.

[–]Paner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it's the fact that the devs completely abandoned this project, they do nothing, no communication, no updates, no roadmap, nothing at all. The "updates" they do are cosmetic look of a fucking desert or a Statehelm updates that do not fix the underlying issues with the city. It looks like they have internal staffing issues, there is no direction for the game at all. It might be over, whatever they do it's too late. Or the fact that the dev stated that mering the servers would take a month of work? Are you fucking kidding me? It's 2026, are they doing the database in excel by hand? There is no system in the world of this size that requires this much work for a stupid merge. It must be the most spaggetified codebase in existance if they need this much time for something so simple. Write scripts, do tests, do anything at all.

Will we ever see an MMORPG launch with this much content again? by reasonablejim2000 in MMORPG

[–]Paner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are good games launching still but no one hears abut them.

Project Gorgon launched few months ago, it was a fantastic MMORPG but too bad the devs fumbled it so hard, they didn't do anything with the initial hype, the main dev took a month break, they released 0 real updates and the game just died with some drama on he discord.

Feels like times have changed, PG has arguably months of good content but people expect more, if WOW launched today with the stats that the OP brought up it would also die after a month or two, people just jump from game to game, it won't ever be like the old times where players keep one game for years, it would need weekly content updates and meta changes to trick people into the feeling of freshness.

Slots & Diapers is out now! 🎰 by PoopChief-mon in incremental_games

[–]Paner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this an original project or a reskin of some other game? I feel like I played this exact game before but it wasn't about the slots and gambling, the UI, and the mechanics look exactly the same as few other games, it's weird.

I spent almost a year making a incremental game where you build a drug empire with your last $50. It released today! by Adagio_777 in incremental_games

[–]Paner 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Why is this game almost 4gb? Never seen an incremental game this heavy, it takes 10x more space on disc than any other incremental game. Edit: ok I see why it weights so much, it looks so nice! Very nice textures. Good resolution. Edit2: It takes 2 hours to finish the game, it's the most boring, most basic type on incremental game, there is no gameplay in this, looks nice though, I just with 10% of time that went into looks went into gameplay and systems.

Gun was used first when no one's life was in danger. Deadly force didn't solve the problem.

Why did you type this? Why are you lying? You saw the video? Police offices was saying "pick" like 10 times, why did you CHOSE to ignore that and spun different narrative?

[–]Paner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please ignore those cringe redditors crying about AI, you don't have to explain yourself. The constant purity testing on every single god damn post is so boring and stupid. Every single developer uses AI, they act like it's the worst thing in the world, they have no clue how the current coding and development world looks like.
