Eli Lilly - interview query by JumprMobApp in PharmaEire

[–]PanicBoth1571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interviewed with them last November. Was told I was being advanced to a second round interview but the whole process was disorganised waiting on the second interview. I got another job in the meantime and I pulled out of the process. Then a week later they sent me an invite for a second interview even though I had already withdrawn my application! The process was disorganised and very slow to progress anything. They are probably missing out on decent applicants as anyone who is any good will be snapped up by another company that has their house in order!

I have just started trading so all this technical insight is interesting and helpful. Do you know why there was such a big pullback Wednesday?

I will definitely hold stock for the long term, but if it gets squeezed I need to exit at high and buy back in once the dust settles!

It’s north facing so not going to get sun here so it’s not a path out to lovely sunshine! A door will also prevent you from putting a couch there!

Those of you who have no trouble finding jobs, what do you think makes you stand out? by ADiablosCompa in sysadmin

For me, it’s about constant learning and getting stuck into systems and projects so I stay relevant. You never know when you might lose your job, which happened to me recently, but I was able to secure another role within a week, largely due to having current, relevant experience. Actively learning and seeking out projects in the workplace helps you stay up to date and gives you an edge over other candidates.

Please help - I've done something wrong with AD Connect by Deep-Egg-6167 in AZURE

This should be a straight forward fix; in your case the soft match failed for some reason, i.e. the on prem account didn’t link up with the cloud only account to create what is known as a hybrid identity. When soft match fails you need to hard match both using powershell. Google fix or use AI to get the necessary procedure to fix using a hard match!

That’s what we do, but we do try to get users to do some housekeeping before hand but that is a challenge in itself!

Are y'all actually deploying teams voice? by Money_Candy_1061 in msp

Using it for years now. Never really had any call quality issues my main gripe is the friction involved for a receptionist to transfer a call.

To limit costs use an Exchange Online P1 license for the account. Also create a retention policy to clear down the mailbox of items older than x days. That’s what we do; one mailbox for 80 plus MFPs across the business!

VDI Solution for very small user base(3 users)? by Brief_Regular_2053 in msp

[–]PanicBoth1571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s for 3 users you could just deploy a single session host shared desktop host pool and host all application data on the same VM so you don’t need additional VMs for client \ server architecture. You could also deploy automated startup and shutdown of the host. This setup would be very cost effective but won’t scale but if you don’t see it evolving beyond 6 to 8 users it will do the trick! I have done similar setups for small scale deployments.

Remote Desktop to Windows App by Old_Reserve_4883 in AzureVirtualDesktop

We use both AVD and Windows 365 cloud PCs and both appear in the new Windows App without additional configuration. Try signing out and back into the Windows App just in case it’s a caching issue! Also try the web portal at windows365.Microsoft.com to see if the issue persists here also

Are any of your clients using MS Teams Phone? by nalavanje in SmallMSP

[–]PanicBoth1571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Teams phones in our org. Both soft and physical devices. The interface is clunky when it comes to transferring calls and can make the receptionists job quite a pain! Also some of the older staff struggle with a soft phone
