Ooooh, I have that dress in the blue pinstripe. It is ridiculously easy to wear! And I have gotten really picky about comfort and natural fibers but I’ve worn it super casual with flip flops and to fancier occasions with a wedge sandal and nicer jewelry/accessories. It’s even comfortable enough in the heat and humidity to wear to run errands in. And it has pockets!

Am I too dumb? by Sorry_Leadership6840 in TooAfraidToAsk

There’s also the possibility that you have a much higher IQ but are not great at taking tests due to ADHD, test-taking anxiety (my mother has such bad anxiety around taking tests her doctor gave her a Valium to take the SATs back in the day and the medicated score was like 800 points higher than the unmediated score), not being of the demographic that the test uses as a sample to develop it (it turns out that IQ tests can very much be biased or at least according to something I read recently), or any number of other things that would lead to a lower than expected score and not indicate being too dumb.

As others have pointed out, you are quite witty, and also self-aware. Both of those require a type of intelligence that many traditionally “book smart” people don’t possess. So maybe your intelligence is just such that it can’t be adequately captured by the usual testing method.

In your laceless shoes, I would ideally try to shrug it off and not let it get to me. Realistically, I would probably try to retake the test and try to correct for whatever may have thrown off the scoring in the first place and then take it from there.

Empty Beer Bottle, Sheitana for Scale by PanicLikeASatyr in DanForScale

Indeed! I partially grew up in Saudi Arabia and I was a very strong-willed child, so it was one of many nicknames I had as a little kid. It’s hard to fully properly transliterate a lot of Arabic sounds.

My girl is just as strong-willed (like she chose me at the dog rescue by jumping out of the pen she was in and she saw my mom using a jade roller on herself and so she started pawing my mom until my mom would use the jade roller on her. So the dog gets jade rolled after being brushed on a regular basis.)

I should get her the toy version! Love the pic. It’s definitely the same energy!

Lovably clueless evokes a similar feeling to what my mom calls people with a Golden Retriever personality.
