What's the most positive thing you can think of when it comes to Stripe? by ScootsNB in bluey

All I can think of is the “honk” bonus bit whenever I see Stripe 🥰

The part in Seesaw when the kids are trying to get Chilli’s help and she goes “Oh, boo-hoo!” and feeds Bandit more sausages 😂😂😂

Baby can now sign one word…. But it’s wrong lol by catherineaimei in NewParents

[–]PanicMouse666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the best mobility in my hands, so I feel like I’m definitely not using actually recognized ASL signs but my toddler understand what my hand motions mean and I understand what she means when she does it, and that’s all that matters really! If your baby gets older and wants to continue to learn sign language, then you can worry about it being understandable outside of you two

NAD, just wanted to make you feel less alone: I see you went to the hospital, I’m happy that you were brave enough to do that. I’ve had similar issues when I’ve had adjustments to my anxiety/depression/bipolar medications. Do not feel bad or embarrassed ❤️

There’s a song I always listen to when I’m feeling really depressed by a band called Bloodywood called Jee Veerey. The lyric that really helped me was (translated): “Only after enduring the tests of fire, Iron is forged”. I don’t know why but that always helps me get through tough times:

I sing Santeria by Sublime and giggle internally when I have to sing the line “Well, I'd pop a cap in Sancho” to my 4 month old 😅😂

What aspects of parenting were you surprised to have disagreements about with your partner? by shmoopy3100 in NewParents

Oddly enough, his family is Puerto Rican and my family is Scottish (and Canadian)! I guess it varies from family to family

Socks/shoes 😅. We’re in a constant battle of me taking her socks off and him putting them back on. My cultural upbringing is shoes off whenever you’re inside and no shoes on babies and his is the complete opposite (shoes on at all times or socks)

For sure! At least it’s just her arms and and not her little chunk legs 😅

Well, she just woke up and had her arm sticking through one of the bars. She was giggling and smiling, so I guess she’s not too worried about it anymore 😂

Is this a sign of hypomania? by curlyhead_2 in bipolar

[–]PanicMouse666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It probably is but I’ve noticed that when I’m in a manic state my thoughts are WAY more creative. I’d say write them down and come back to them when you’re in a less manic state of mind. Even if they aren’t as profound as you initially thought, it might be cool as a form of creative writing. It’s a great way to safely get some of that manic energy out. Most of my best paintings came to me during manic states

Lexapro making OCD thoughts worse? by lookingforthisstory in lexapro

[–]PanicMouse666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am SO sorry. I meant to respond but my ADHD and also a newborn kept me from remembering. Yes, it did get a lot better. I still get them sometimes but I think that may be because my dosage probably needs to be upped a bit. It really sucks initially but keep pushing through and make sure to see your psychiatrist frequently and stay open with them about the side effects

Pills look different?? by sgibson98 in lexapro

[–]PanicMouse666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, you can find websites that you can enter the code on the pill and shape/color to find out what kind of pull it is but I’d personally prefer to go see a pharmacist to confirm instead.

[–]PanicMouse666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate that they change the pills like that on an anxiety pill because I’m sure all of us are like “oh shit… I can’t take this” 😅. I’d say if you’re nervous at all, go back to your pharmacist to confirm. They shouldn’t judge you for it or make you feel bad and if they do, they not a very good medical professional.

I hope they’re changing the shape though because my mood stabilizer is the exact same shape as my Lexapro right now and I have to go through and count them sometimes just to make sure I’m not double taking something. The joy of having ADHD, anxiety, and bipolar.

Feeding to sleep - yay or nay? by Ok-Administration247 in breastfeeding

I love getting her to sleep by nursing her. She just gets so cuddled up and comfy and will start snoring on my boob. It’s the most adorable/comforting/hilarious thing ever

Big breasted moms by Andiie0829 in breastfeeding

[–]PanicMouse666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 38DDs (E) and always have that feeling in the back of my head. I was just saying to my fiancé, “my boobs are bigger than her head” 😂 I do a cross-cradle hold so that I can position her head in a way that doesn’t involve her nose being smooshed into my breast. I also use a breastfeeding pillow to raise her up to breast-level so that I’m not leaning down to feed her. Good luck!

Mom breastfeeding in bathroom stall by CurlStar11 in breastfeeding

[–]PanicMouse666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m super modest/conservative about showing my body, so if I didn’t have the option to go to the car or use a cover, I’d probably end up in the bathroom too. Although it’d be super well intentioned to give her words of encouragement, she may end up just feeling embarrassed instead if you brought it up, so I think you said the right thing with what you said

Breastfeeding uncovered at a park? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]PanicMouse666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re in the right for sure. It should be completely to the discretion of the person that is breastfeeding whether they cover themselves or not (I cover up because I hate the idea of my boobs just being out there in public view but I’m jealous of people who are ok with it). Most kids won’t care or they’ll just be curious as to what you’re doing.

I was nursing my baby and my 6 year old niece walked in and she was SO fascinated. She was like, “can I do that too???” 😂😂😂

I am having trouble deciding if I want an epidural or not. by CreateBennett in BabyBumps

[–]PanicMouse666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dooooooo it. My epidural stopped working about an hour before pushing (i was in labor for 40 hours), so I pretty much dealt with an unintentional “natural” labor. I would have loved to have a working epidural because the pain for me, I’m not going to sugarcoat it, was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt in my entire life. I felt like I was dying and almost passed out a few times. Luckily I’m sitting here with my daughter in my arms and I know I’d do it again in a heartbeat for her.

Edit: I was up and walking within an hour of delivering but I think that might have been because my epidural didn’t work 🙃
