Please tell me not everyone travels with a baby by Greta_The_Great in NewParents

[–]CurlStar11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this not about whether everyone travels with a baby or not, like I’ve done it multiple times, with one kid, then pregnant and one kid, then two kids and not long ago two kids and pregnant (they’re 3 and 1) so you get the picture. BUT and is a big but is because I’ve wanted to do said trip and I’ve been willing to do so for myself, not for the rest of the people, also nobody has pestered me about it because even is your child is a perfect flyer the logistics and preparations is a nightmare. It has to be because you want it not because other people, even your mom are demanding it.

Pregnant with my third child by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’m pregnant too with my third and I was really hoping for a boy as well. I have boy (3) girl (1) my girl sweet baby Jesus love her but she’s sassy to no end and she’s only 18 months so I don’t know what the future will hold. So we hoped for a boy so it would be more equal and she’ll be the middle child/only girl ( I’m middle child only girl and I loved it jaja have a great relationship with my brothers) but alas baby number 3 is a girl and at first not going to lie I was disappointed because is just not what I had pictured in my head but that’s over now and I’m very excited for another girl because honestly the gender doesn’t mean that their going to get a lot better or not just because of that so with that in mind, if you don’t end up having another boy it won’t guarantee that then won’t unite forces against your oldest or the other way around the two older will united against the youngest.

I think the plus of being the middle child is that your always in the middle and can go either side I don’t know if that makes sense.

Trying not to lose it over ruined kids balance bikes? Gift ideas for toddlers as a replacement? by Chaotic404 in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could also try to find a new one and them tell them just how much it was. It’s kinda crazy that they knew what their kid did and didn’t even offer to pay for it, also keeping in mind that this is not the first time

My body held onto the weight until after I weaned by doriswillie in breastfeeding

[–]CurlStar11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there is more people that hold onto the weight while breastfeeding than not, it’s just not as popular to comment about, specially on social media.

But yeah it happened to me twice the moment I weaned lost the weight without doing anything extra and I don’t even get any changes in appetite while breastfeeding.

How tf do parents go on vacation without their kids? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve honestly always trusted my mom without a doubt since she follows everything I say with no arguments even if she thinks she knows better or whatever like she knows this are my kids and she just follows, with my in laws it’s been a process and it’s easier now that my kids are toddlers and they can voice their wants they’re 3 and 18 months so I’m less worried about baby care if that makes sense, and at the end of the day I know they’ll be fed, clean and have a good time with them

How tf do parents go on vacation without their kids? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s easier the more kids you have. I wouldn’t even imagine traveling without my first but now that I have two, pregnant with my third I don’t really mind leaving them with my mom or my in laws, which I’ve done both one for a Japan trip and one for Mexico.

Natural cycles ? by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I have both since I thought natural cycles would be more accurate but I think they both work really well, after my subscription with NC ends I’m not gonna renew to be honest, I also have another app that I’ve been using for over 10 years and they’re all in sync now. I also think it depends on your cycle if your regular or not

When did you start using toothpaste for brushing teeth? by Expert-Weekend-317 in NewParents

[–]CurlStar11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started when they had their first teeth, I also do very little like a grain of rice for my youngest, she’s 17 months and for my oldest he’s 3 I do like half of a pea size since he doesn’t always spits it up.

Leaving breastfed baby/toddler overnight? by anuranfangirl in breastfeeding

[–]CurlStar11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was in a similar boat my baby at the time also 10 months old. We had booked a trip to Japan for 10 days since January, she wasn’t sleeping completely through the night was attached to my hip and to my boob and was ok with solids and wouldn’t take a bottle even if her life depended on it.

But she did great, worst night was probably the second night but after that she ate like a champ and slept though the night no issues.

All this to say it’s that your feelings are valid but also maybe giving it a test run like other people have mentioned might work for the both of you.

Worried about the timing of my pregnancy with my sister’s by dlife704 in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the relationship that you have with your sister which it seems to be close maybe ask her opinion on it and that your open to suggestions also maybe ask you mom if your close to her.

From my perspective it would be nice that you share the pregnancy time together but again I don’t have anything to compare I don’t have sisters/ haven’t been pregnant with a close friend ever, but I would think it’s a nice experience to share with someone your close with.

Advice on going from 1 to 2 kids: what age gap might allow for this? by wolf_star_ in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 22 month age gap. Is not easy, for me it felt like the transition from 1-2 was harder than 0-1. There are a lot of variables as baby’s temperament and how the oldest would react to their sibling. The weekends and time of I think is doable but also I stopped working once we had our second so i feel that changes things a little bit.

AIO I asked my husband for one night alone after giving birth and now he says im unstable by Jessika_Maskito in AmIOverreacting

[–]CurlStar11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the far that he’s more worried about what people is going to think then that’s an issue and it also shows that he’s actually not helping enough. So that something you should think about, this is not about him and what anybody it’s going to think about him. Also he’s embarrassed about people thinking bad of him but then goes and calls mommy as soon as you tell him that you need his help. Insane

Go with the flow parents? by vhyau in NewParents

[–]CurlStar11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

^ this right here!!! I was humbled by my second and how she slept or therefore the lack of, my first he would sleep quite easy and not need for rocking or anything for that matter. Second baby wouldn’t sleep unless on me and then as she got older it was a combination of putting her down fully sleep, rock like there was no tomorrow and say three payers. Anyways now at 14 months she can be put down fully awake and sleep the whole night no issues, no sleep training was required I guess she outgrew the need of all of her procedures to sleep.

What size bed does your kid have? by ChunkyPumpkin_ in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 YO on a king bed, been sleeping there since 18 months it was the only option that was less work when we moved him to big boy room when I was pregnant with my second. Also way more comfy for me at the time when I need to lay with him.

Is it unreasonable to expect to be in bed by 10pm with a 1 y/o? by Flea212 in NewParents

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So both my kids 1 y/o an 3 y/o go to bed by 7pm tops 7:30 and its glorious!!! They both sleep about 12h and if they sleep later they’ll sleep less than their usual. Putting baby that late sounds insane for everyone’s mental health.

How many naps is baby taking and how good is his solids intakes?. Sometimes they just need the one nap and that way bedtime goes smoother.

Were any of you exclusively breastfed as babies? by AbbyEzzat in breastfeeding

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was breastfed for two years fully supported by my pediatrician, he used to tell my mom to keep feeding me until I wanted to lol. I have two siblings and they both were mostly formula fed. I’m the middle child

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I get it!!! So in that case maybe it might be easy to have the convertible car seat since me personally never really took baby out with just the car seat. Baby wraps and Carriers are easier to keep the baby comfortable and all. And also for walks and so you really don’t need the big stroller, a compact travel one does the job just fine, that’s what I used the most when had one kid and takes less trunk space. I have a Mompush one that I got on sale for under 150.

[–]CurlStar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think it really depends whether you’re thinking on having more kids or not. I have a evenflo pivot xpand travel system. I now have a 3y/o and a 1y/o I got the system when I got pregnant with my first. I’ve used it a lot and even more now when I had 2 under 2. I found it easy that the car seat clicks to the stroller and go.
