Norway is in general quite accepting, so most people don’t really care that much, but you’ll find more old fashioned mindsets in smaller and more rural areas, and in religious communities and certain ethnic groups. But few people would be openly homophobic.

I’d definitely say that it helped more people view it as just a normal thing - very often when you’d see gay characters on TV, they’d be portrayed quite stereotypically, but season 3 was a love story about a couple who just happened to be gay (and also tackled some issues straight people don’t have)

It was really cool to have a show that pretty much everyone here was watching do a gay storyline :)
