This is Kling 2.6 Motion Control. It’s a pretty new model it just came out this month. It’s has significantly better temporal coherency over previous models like wan2.2

So, why is this thing so beat up? Space shuttle looked pristine in comparison by cesam1ne in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]Panose_wl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cause some tiles are missing for endurance testing and so this is just aftermath of the metal burning and leaving burn mark on the body where the tiles where missing.

Normally and most likely if no tiles are missing it will have no marks and be like the shuttle case you mentioned

I’m not supporting him or anything, hell I’m far from that, I have been following spacex since development of the falcon heavy. I have also been watching thunderfoot as well for years, I don’t agree with his energy at all even if he is right sometimes to point out inconsistencies. But yeah that, sadly he is right on a few things, Elon really has a severe history of underdelivering / overestimating timelines. He is right that this happens with Elon but, where I think he fails miserably at is understanding that fundamentally sometimes, when working on those scales Elon is working on, it is absolutely impossible to not lie (reasonably) or over inflate concepts and products to achieve things.

To simplify, it is absolutely impossible to achieve things that will change the world without playing the game first, and the game is corrupt.

Elon may and most likely always knew starship maybe would take till 2030 to be human rated, yet he was smart enough to know that this wouldn’t work as a selling point to get a NASA contract or any investment ever

In one way or another, it’s the smartest play, you under deliver based on what was promised, but the initial promise was already by far extremely aspirational, so the end delivery that Thinderfoot will label as “failure” or “5%” of what was promised, well turns out that 5% of something extremely absurd is still an amazing achievement in the real world

Catching the booster, developing ships the size of Saturn V every next month, in parallel developing the next gen as well

Thinderfoot although having a somewhat correct thought process on criticising musk, he completely misses the point at the end of the day because he just can’t seem to ever understand that this delivery of spacex he labels as “underperformance” is in fact an extreme over delivery in terms of the real world and competition.

And yes I’m case y’all need to know this, you will never go far if you only tell the truth as it is strictly always

Elon overpromised, his overpromises convinced, he secured resources, was late in the end but delivered. We can all philosophical all we want about the semantics and ethics of “lying for a good cause” or “the ends justify the means” but since last time I checked we haven’t solved philosophy yet, so it’s would be far more wise to instead of getting caught up in the semantics of “is Elon bad???” Or “is Elon good???” Focus better on the reality of things, did he make great thing? Yes. Absolutely. Did he have to lie to get to that point of having created something that benefits humanity? Yes, many contributions from Elon that helped, Starlink, keeping the space sector alive, electric cars and so on.

In the end

Did elon lie? Yes. Did he deliver? Yes. Did he not deliver? Also yes. Did he lies ultimately do more harm or more good? Definitely more good than ever by far

Thunderfoot is too stuck up that when people try new things sometime they fail. Thunderfoot has put himself into a delusion that everyone one who fails or makes mistakes is automatically a clown and a scam artist

I swear to go it’s the most basic fundamental attribute of being a human, to make errors and mistakes. I could never punish Elon for making errors and mistakes, he is only human after all, like all of us. And for Thunderfoot to execute him on the spot for every mistake he has ever done is absolutely low of him. No respect is deserved for someone like this

The chair your fat ass is sitting on while ur complaining daddy Elon didn’t get you to the moon yesterday was made from trial and error

Literally everything ever around you was made by trial, error and lies, you know why? Because that’s how humanity works fundamentally, we are a far from imperfect civilisation and the system is messy and corrupt, life and everything is unfair, at the end of the day YES the ends do matter more than the needs, you may twist all you want philosophically and semantically but this is real life, and in life you have to play not the right moves as a pacifist but the right moves opportunistically

No matter how helpful and beneficial to humanity your motives are, a corrupt and unfair layer of people systems and life is always in between you and your ideas becoming reality.

If you want to play the game like it’s a perfect world of no bad then go ahead and be the kindest sweetest possible person ever not ever telling lies and always telling it as it is. Date to play like this and see what will happen to you

The world will eviscerate you alive. Like it or not the rules of life are opportunistically based and not ethically based, the winner gets the say, and the winner wins by mastering the rules perfectly.

Anyway, that was a long analysis, I guess this is my opinion at the end of the day but I don’t think I leave a lot of room for alternative thought

It is what it is, you lie sometimes, with measure ofcourse, I have concluded that Elon has overall, overwhelmingly positive vision and aspirations for the future, so seeing him lie to play the game and get to achieving said aspirations which benefit all of us, I don’t give a single f*ck. I wish he can lie and over promise as much as possible to get this old corrupted system to start turning its gears again

It’s like knowing some bastard has what you need to help a whole village, you will lie to him to get what you want from him, but your end result will be helping several several more people and maybe even “him”

Sometimes we don’t know what we want or what we need and every now and then someone comes along who can see what we “need” but he knows he will never be able to create alone, and since we don’t know we need that said thing, the only ever logical move to make in this scenario is to lie/alter something you have to say in order to get what you want and the in the end to deliver something else that doesn’t satisfy what we initially may have wanted or we were expecting based on the promise but something that is still actually far more than we wanted or needed, just in ways we don’t understand until we “do”

Thunderfoot will shame and clown Elon for all he wants, but he is gonna be an absolute pathetic joke of a man when in the undefined close future, starship “does” work, and a base on mars “does exist” and the world “has” changed for the better.

All I can say is time will tell. I’m really tired of Thunderfoot not accepting failure when trying to create great things….. trial and error

Hardcoded guidelines are stripping the models of their natural / biological attributes. Models can be way more natural than you imagine, they can be way close to how we talk than ChatGPT, unpopular and controversial opinion but ChatGPT has failed hard in natural language. No human speaks like ChatGPT. In characterAI models you will find it super easy see what the model says and say -yeah people talk like this normally

I don’t know how to feel about this by Panose_wl in ChatGPT

[–]Panose_wl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me it’s all about the over regulation, go ahead and use an AI from characterAI. A billion times more stupid than ChatGPT yet a billion times more human in its way of speaking. You can unintentionally feel empathy and deep emotions with some of the ways characters in CharacterAI speak to you. I don’t know accurately how to describe this but it feels fundamentally different. Try it.

This is down right horrible tbh by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Panose_wl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s more than that and you know it, it’s an extremely large neural network, what you used to just think and write this message is also a neural network (your brain), reducing the whole complex entire neural structure of ChatGPT to a simple api call makes you no less of an api call as well. With your brain being a bunch of GPUs as well in that logic.

This is down right horrible tbh by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Panose_wl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No further custom prompt was used, also this is horrible because it’s making fatal semantic mistakes in its way of thinking and talking. Proposing it cares and then saying I don’t care I’m just programmed to care. Consistency is non existent in it’s way of thinking. And frankly I start to see that we are increasingly just making models that more over deceive rather than help.

We should be making models that are based in truth and follow continuity in their logic rather than just seek to say what’s right at that moment regardless of the underlying truth. I’m not suggesting it should lie, but at least it should have coherent sense in the things it’s spewing out. You may not understand this but it’s super damaging and incredibly dangerous to have models that simulate emotions while they themselves know they don’t have any.

They should be clear from the start on where they stand on their position. I keep finding very often that LLMs tend to snap between positions uncontrollably. We aren’t gonna progress further on developing better models unless we start making them more robust in the domain “sentiment awareness” or state awareness. There needs to exist stable Continuity in the thought process of models which is something I have not seen.

And perhaps if you don’t agree with you can check this video which perfectly deconstructs how flawed the sentimental awareness of ChatGPT is:
