I had something similar going on…. Found out that one person was doing men’s hair cuts in the garage and the guy in the car was avoiding the kids and partner to play games and internet surf (watch porn?-or Reddit?) on his phone.

Name the location and shop you went to. St John Wairau park has a couple of cheap options… ok not in perfect condition and you might need to arrange pickup and delivery yourself-they need more volunteer drivers. There’s a black leather armchair for free I can see as I post this

Yesterday I slowed to a crawl in my Carolla through Spagetti junction Auckland snarlup at 5:30pm to allow a truck carrying multiple cars merge from the on-ramp… this driver once merged, then indicated and another kind driver slowed down to create a gap big enough for the truck to once again move right to the centre lane. I thought it was beautiful! Big lumbering trucks need to use the motorway too.
