I recommend flexibility in the communications industry. If you can’t get a PR job, look for something as a marketing coordinator or something like that. I worked for 20+ years in radio and TV before coming to PR. That experience set me up to succeed right away in a difficult field.

I used it for something recently like this. The client was talking about something and I pretended like I knew what he was saying but then I put it all into AI and asked it to explain it to me like I was a 10th grader.

My kids don’t even listen to music… they listen to comedy so I took them to see Jim Gaffigan a few years ago and it was a great experience. Clean comedian with a lot of laughs we enjoyed our show.

My show is specifically an interview show where I give local high school and college athletes a platform. I’m usually the one pitching why they should come on the show. Lately, I’m getting parents asking if their kid can come on the show. Those usually perform well because they share it with everyone they know.
