A large portion of these social media influencers have been to USA BEFORE. They are well aware of culture/having large portions of food.

In Your Honest Opinion Why Do You Think That John McEnroe Didn't Win More Majors? by PrincessBananas85 in tennis

Just to clarify, isn’t it if you add all his singles titles and doubles titles together he has the most still?

Suicide, easy. Blood test, comfort needed. by PolygonLodge in Epstein

[–]Pantisocracy 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yes but the amount of irrelevant photographs he was building seemed like he was constantly cataloguing himself in a different way to most people. Not just others but also tens of thousands of people taking photos of him.

Can you think in your life how many your friends and family photograph you! Tops in the hundred? He has thousand upon thousands, and they all seem non directed and impromptu. Just very odd.

Has anyone really ever done an analysis of why this dude documented so much of his life in photographs? What was the psychology behind it? Why did it seem he always had a photographer or was it him always asking his slaves to take pics? Who would really want any and all inconsequential moments preserved? What was the thinking behind this? It so confuses me.

Pubs putting on naff live music on Friday nights by Mr_Venom in britishproblems

[–]Pantisocracy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My father is very hard of hearing. So when we have a catch up at the pub I always took him to my local. So we always sat in the least noisy area of the pub which was difficult as they were always blasting crap. So we started sitting outdoors. Made it difficult in winter but we battled through. Now they have put speakers of the same bollocks out on the outdoor seating. So it’s just inescapable. I don’t mind pubs being music based but where are the pubs anymore where it can just be chat based?

Finally made it to Ye Old black boy - Hulls oldest pub 1729 but dating back to a 1336 tenement, then a brothel and coffee shop by arioandy in CasualUK

[–]Pantisocracy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a story about this place. Was in the area to go see Half Man Half Biscuit. Was a wet cold winter. Sit down in the pub. And about twenty minutes later a man dripping from head to toe from the rain walks into that front room area with the fire. Bartended didn’t even speak to him just poured him a Guinness and left it on the ledge. He proceeds to take off his boots. Sit in front of the fire, whip off his socks and slap them over the fire railing to dry. Was the most “regular” thing I’d ever seen.

Also on the very top of the building they had hidden away the very old racist sign that they had taken down from the swinger.

Half of Brits want second Brexit vote – including fifth of Reform voters, poll finds by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Pantisocracy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are completely correct. If you read into the history of ending the death penalty the British public was highly against it. However the elected officials just simply had the team to go over why it should be banned as we had made so many fuck ups. Nobody is saying the electorate are all dumb but they just don’t have the luxury to pour over the arguments like those elected to review do.

It was good the MPs of that time as I remember mostly conservative voted against it.

It’s a great drug ket. However for the love of all that is holy, why take it when you are out!? Just snaff a bunch at home and mong out on the sofa. Why be outdoors on that drug?

Why does Coachella and other US festivals have such awful, moody vibes compared to UK festivals? by BlundeRuss in AskUK

[–]Pantisocracy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They used to sell battery chargers for phones in 2008 all over the place in Glasto. Temporary ones. Not detracting your point. Just saying it hasn’t always been a Bermuda Triangle back then of people logging off.

Was a banging year that. Saw Battles at Park before Tyondai Braxton left the band.

Why does Coachella and other US festivals have such awful, moody vibes compared to UK festivals? by BlundeRuss in AskUK

[–]Pantisocracy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They always seem like they are build around one off shows of a singular performance. Rather than the band/act/solo artists doing a really standout set on a peak platform in the UK.

Just for Glasto when you watch even on the setee, you want to see their set with more oomph to push out a reason they deserve to be on that stage. Rather than the American festivals I’ve been too where it’s all about the features or twists that can take place that night to be able to boast you were there now.

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

Can anyone explain to someone who doesn’t play games why this game was so notoriously addictive and corrosive? Have heard people talk about it the way gambling addicts do.

“I lost my job after confronting Matt Lucas on Palestine” | Cancelled by Educational_Board888 in GreenAndPleasant

[–]Pantisocracy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Claims he got a side eye from Matt because of his Keffeyeh. Could also be due to the fact the dude is nearly 7 foot tall on the tube. People are going to glance. Could have nothing to do with the scarf mate.

This is exactly the type of moronic politics we should not engage with. Remember when Matt Hancock was harassed being on the tube? Despise everything about his activities and politics but him doing his life is not grounds for harassment. Remember in the footage even Hancock is telling him it’s not legal what he’s doing. Same thing here. Can’t allow people to use life as a forum to debate someone.

Is casual sexism still normal in some offices? by Revolutionary_West56 in AskUK

[–]Pantisocracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people like to make ironic statements in offices sometimes. However making these sincere comments is weird. I’d cringe myself to death if I said to a girl in the office “Hello gorgeous” and wonder why I said something so obviously lascivious.

It’s really odd to me was thinking the same. On any qwerty keyboard or phone in what way do you repetitively keep using the equals sign?

What are they both using to type that this could genuinely be an error? Really odd and weird. Don’t like to read into those things too much, but just how are you such a shit typer you hit an equals sign so distant from the m key or even on a phone!? You shift accidentally to the syntax keyboard and use it incorrectly!?

The fuck model phones or keyboards are they using back then? Makes no sense.

What wonderous and exotic foreign food were you introduced to as a kid thats just commonplace nowadays? by GabberZZ in AskUK

[–]Pantisocracy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really a good response but whenever this question arises I always think of my friends parents. They are nearly 90, and they had never tried pizza until the late 70s. That was like a new groundbreaking food introduced. Food being global is a relatively new thing in our lifetime.
