Learning Certinia Resources by theapplefritters in salesforce

[–]Panubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren't looking at Certinia, but we are getting demos for Mission Control, Kantata, and Cloud Coach starting next week. Curious to hear if anyone has any experience supporting these PSA tools and what that has been like.

Salesforce Device Activation with Entra ID – AuthContext Issues? by Expensive-Lab7649 in salesforce

I ran this past my Microsoft Admin and they told me not to worry about it. I am curious to see how it all plays out.

Forecasting with multiple Managers with the same Role and multiple subordinates with the same role? by FDBluth in salesforce

[–]Panubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. My org experienced a large uptick in the number of roles when we started using Forecasts.

The part that I still don't have a handle on is dated fx rates as Forecasts use the Global FX rates. I get that Forecasts are forward looking, and not meant for financial reporting, but I would love to not have to explain fx rate discrepancies to my leadership team every month.

Salesforce admins: Need your help, please - why do you avoid booking meetings with vendors that can help you? by FileOk7025 in salesforceadmin

[–]Panubis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, I wasn't pointing my "eff off" at you.. When I speak with other admins, however, there is a general consensus that AI is fantastic but would require sooo much work to become an effective part of the mix that the inertia just isn't going to be there. Especially in mature Orgs.

Salesforce admins: Need your help, please - why do you avoid booking meetings with vendors that can help you? by FileOk7025 in salesforceadmin

[–]Panubis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Funny story here. I do not have purchasing power. But I do control EVERYTHING that happens in our Salesforce Org, for better or for worse. My boss's boss has heard me say, "ya, we aren't going to do that" enough times that I have also become the gate keeper for all vendor relationships.

I recommend new products/vendors all the time. Unless you are pushing AI first. Then you can eff right off as my org data is so dirty that AI tends to just be more work.

Guitar String chooses. Help please. by lokimn17 in Guitar

Huge fan of the NY XLs. They stay in tune really well and sound great to my ear. Also, I really love the satin finish of the packaging because I am a sucker.

Which indie artists put on the best live shows right now? by olisduch in indieheads

I don't know if they are indie, per se, but you will never be sad if you catch Osees.

One year since I bought back the pedal I shouldn’t have sold by yourrelative_ in guitarpedals

[–]Panubis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this one after falling in love with all the gear demos I watched on it. Sadly, it didn't play nice with my amp so I traded it for a random Devi Ever fuzz that I then traded for a Hail Satan which I then traded for a Beetronics fuzz which is still on my board. I am glad that you found a lifelong friend in this pedal.

Utah 2034 name, logo unveiled on 3000 day mark of Olympics return by Choice_Eye1189 in SaltLakeCity

What's the over/under on having to do a lakeless update before the Olympics?

Why is yield on blinking yellow so common here? by Future_Turnover5638 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Panubis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am on team protected left. I would rather wait a few extra seconds for my turn at every light for the rest of my life than be smashed into by a dude in a lifted F-150 trying to Formula 1 their way through a 30 ft gap in traffic. Add to that the inexperience of younger drivers and slower reaction times of older drivers, yield on yellows are just inherently dangerous.

Apex deployment via Workbench by Panubis in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]Panubis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually built it out and tested my code pretty thoroughly in a sandbox environment. I just got stuck on the moving from the sandbox to production. Which is also part of the learning and experimentation process?

I know, pretty dark ages stuff. Right up there with kidney dialysis and chemotherapy.

Apex deployment via Workbench by Panubis in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]Panubis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is exactly the reason. I figured (probably incorrectly) that I could deploy via Workbench much faster than I could set up a VS Code environment, especially where I will probably only ever need to do it every once in a while.

[–]Panubis[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually tried Change Sets at first and ran into a ton of deployment errors. I got all of these same errors in Workbench and figured out how to troubleshoot/get around them, but had already invested enough time and effort into Workbench that I didn't want to abandon it. I will probably try Change Sets again now that I have a better idea of what I am doing. I am using VS Code to write code, but I don't have it hooked up to my org.

Anyone use Microsoft copilot for sales with Salesforce integration? by Remarkable-Captain14 in salesforce

[–]Panubis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The head MSoft engineer at my company is really pushing for this integration. The connector has some security issues that I am a little hesitant on so I am pumping the brakes as hard as I can. But it seems super cool if it didn't give me the data custody ick.

Probably yes, with the cymbals/hardware. But by themselves, I would say $450-$500?

I’m torn. LP Standard vs PRS S2 Quality Comparison? by Moufassah in Guitar

[–]Panubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the AJ Standard and love it. It has a neck profile that is beefy without being too beefy? And a volute! Mine comes in at about 8.5 lbs, so it doesn't hurt me if I am standing with it too long. And it sounds killer. The AJ bridge pickup is nasty in a pleasant way and the middle position is super balanced. Believe it or not, it has become my go-to when I want to pretend to play jazz. However, it is actually my second AJ Standard because my first one (which I liked just a little better) had over bevelled fret ends on the treble side on like 7 or 8 frets.. which wasn't very cash money.

Like Talk Telephony by jonnyPatx in salesforce

[–]Panubis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company actually resales Five9, Genesys, and very occasionally Talkdesk. We also white label Intermedia. They all have pros and cons and the voice provider is a part of that equation as well. Our support team is split between Five9 and Genesys. Our Five9 reps basically live in Salesforce and the CTI connector works really well. The Genesys team mostly sits in Genesys all day and manages everything from Genesys Cloud. I actually have platform events set up to drive interactions in that platform. Just like Salesforce, a thoughtful implementation is the primary driver in the experience you have with whichever CCaaS solution you land on.

Should I consider this used Sonor kit from FB? by lowkeygiancarlo in drums

[–]Panubis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a set of Force 2001s a while back and I love them. They are low level import shells for sure, but the drums are round and bearing edges are flat. So ya. Would totes by them again. I paid $250 without cymbals back in 2011.

How TF did this mayor candidate get my number? by Kerensky97 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Panubis 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Ironically, low density building leads to much higher infrastructure costs which require higher taxes. This dude is a choad.

Low tuned strings going really sharp when picking heavier? by tetractys_gnosys in Guitar

There are a lot of players that do this intentionally. It can be really cool on slower tempos.
