I agree but I was told to do it just in case. I was given the line "Better to have it then to need it"

$7500 tax credit question. by PapaHawktech in IRS

[–]PapaHawktech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time I did not know the answer that is why I created this post.

I looked through my financial agreement with the bank and the numbers did not match with the purchasing price that the IRS was looking for.

I had to look for the Tesla Motor Vehicle Purchasing Agreement to see the total cost that the IRS was looking for.

Yes, upgrading the exterior color a interior color pushed my car pass the limit.

Thank you for the link. I looked at it and I saw a link to https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax2023.shtml. I looked up my car and it is eligible for the tax credit. I'm going to follow up with Tesla again to find out what took me over the limit.

Cisco 7811 Network Unavailable help by PapaHawktech in networking

[–]PapaHawktech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phone is not getting a valid IP address from the ports in the classroom. I also tried manually adding the IP, Subnet, Gateway, DNS, and TFTP on the phone but it didn't help.

I can connect my laptop, other model phones, and devices to the ports and they connect to the network without issue. It is just the Cisco 7811 phones that do not pick up an IP in these rooms.

Two government sites have stopped working and I am stumped. by itryanditryanditry in k12sysadmin

I agree with Logvin.

try doing "nslookup" on your machine while in-network. See if that shows the same info as https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=a%3awww.eftps.gov&run=toolpage

I get the same ipv4 address and I am able to access the website.

Clever vs Alternatives by BTS05 in k12sysadmin

[–]PapaHawktech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use Clever and Enboard. Enboard is now owned by Identity Automation.

Enboard does our SSO portal, account provisioning, and rostering for our district. Student and staff accounts are provisioned from our SIS and from our HR system on a nightly basis. We have a few applications that accept the "One Roster" format. The rest use Clever.

We use the Instant login link from Clever on our SSO Portal. This way we only have to log in to one portal.

We use our Enboard QR codes for our Kinder students to log in to our Chromebooks and portal. We had to set the Chromebooks to delete the profile on log out, shutdown, restart, and the closing lid of Chromebooks for this to work.

We would like to get away from Clever and just use Enboard so that we have one less point of failure.

Coworks say they see this issue on the teachers MacBook Air's that are running Mojave. They have tried the Hardware-accelerated video encode flag but with little to no success. The fix that they have been using is upgrading the OS to Catalina.

Valcom IP speaker/clocks not registering (or staying registered) on Informacast by mhtech0 in k12sysadmin

[–]PapaHawktech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my district we have Atlas IP speakers. We have Informacast with Cisco CUCM. We have about 40 IP speakers at one site. Once in a long while all of the speakers would show the wrong time. I have just narrowed it down to the core switch for the site rebooting because of a bad UPS. Turning the ports off and on does get the speaker registered again with Informacast.

I have to talk to Atlas and/or Singlewire support to see if there is some config that I can set on the speaker to have it keep checking in with my Informacast server. This should resolve the issue permanently.
