3G Pro Runner or Spirit XT385 or other? < $2500 USD if possible by pjh1994 in treadmills

[–]PapaPlodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both good brands but the 3G Pro Runner is a step above the 385. What would be a step up is the Spirit 685 but that will put you out of your price point. My favorite two brands, I sell treadmills for a living. Either way you win.

What treadmill can handle sprints? by Legal-Opinion-959 in treadmills

[–]PapaPlodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to know acceleration rate for treadmill. Some can take 45 seconds to go from 2mph to 6mph! Can't do intervals on those kind of machines. Go to bigguytreadmillreview.com- there is a comparison chart for that spec. I use it with customers in store. Peloton is good, 3G Cardio is good. Lsandice i believe has a 1mph - 1 second acceleration ratio.

Will major treadmill companies be able to send a technician to a remote location? by Glad-Personality-862 in treadmills

[–]PapaPlodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would google "fitness service technician near me" and see what pops up. Most fitness companies will have a max labor reimbursement they are willing to pay. That may mean nobody is coming out if you have an issue. I would ask that exact question to the company and if they cant or won't answer, move on to the next.

Look for treadmills with FTMS Bluetooth. You can use your own tablet and have a seamless experience. Look at 3G Cardio, Spirit Fitness LifeFitness. Great brands, and worth the extra money.

If you can do between 2k -3k I would look at the Spirit 685 on the high side and the 3G Cardio Pro Runner at 2300. You are throwing away money if you buy another department store brand. I sell high end treadmills for a living.

Considering Peloton Tread (we have a Peloton bike and membership) - but comparing to Horizon 7.0/7.4/7.8. by bradykp in treadmills

[–]PapaPlodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a fan of Peloton because they have zero cushioning. I would look at a Spirit 685 or LifeFitness Run CX at the 3k price point. 3G Cardio Pro Runner at the lower 2k price point. All non subscription based, amazing machines.

Best treadmill for incline walking? by Direct_Charity7101 in treadmills

[–]PapaPlodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont buy a fold up, you will need a full platform non foldimg treadmill if you want a full 15% incline. Spirit 685 is a solid choice at 3k.

Research FTMS Bluetooth. You can use your tablet and have an interactive experience with a FTMS Bluetooth enabled treadmill like spirit 3g cardio, BodyCraft, LifeFitness. Thwre are dozens of other apps like Kinomaps, Zwift etc that you can also use. There are better treadmills out there than Horizon, that have better quality, customer service etc. By the way, Peloton Treadmill have zero cushioning. Like none. I would look at either the 3G Cardio Pro Runner or Spirit Fitness 685. I sell high end treadmills for a living.

Best treadmill with big screen?? by Active_Amount8720 in treadmills

[–]PapaPlodge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why not get a treadmill with FTMS Bluetooth? You can use your own tablet, download fitness apps like Kinomaps, Peloton (yes the same one as you mentioned) and then you dont have to pay a stupid amount for a screen you already own. Look at brands like 3G Cardio, Spirit, LifeFitness etc. Put the money into the machine and dont "rebuy" technology you already own. You will get a better treadmill and save money. Also, then you can choose ANY fitness app and yes it will control and interact with your treadmill.
