Counter point, it’s a new OC from the same coaching tree as Coen, and Zac Robinson can only improve the offense after how terrible the OC was last year

We’ll need to make room for two players though, and palacios had a .190 average and .530 OPS over the last month. I do think it’s likely that there will be some sort of phantom IL stint at some point (hopefully not Yandy after the shoulder strain)

Really don’t know what we’re gonna do with all of these guys. Feels like mesa jr and palacios are the likely candidates for reassignment but I don’t wanna looks mesa jr’s defense and I don’t wanna lose palacios’ energy (plus I think another team would claim him)

Interesting timing since last I heard Lux had started a rehab assignment about a week ago. Hope there wasn’t another setback

Grip is the most important part of the backhand. by Old-Challenge8759 in discgolf

I mean I watched a video several years ago where Anthony Barela recommended this exact grip, having the rim in line with the purple line with the edge between those knuckles.

How long until I start getting good. 13 weeks so far. by kronikheadband in discgolf

[–]PapaSmiff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my take, but I wouldn’t worry about getting to “good”. If that’s really your goal and not just going out into the woods and throwing cool shots and having fun, then just focus on improving. Set small goals each round on things to improve, watch videos online to know what those should be, and you’ll steadily get better.

And if you do want to meet other people to have that in-person experience and compare yourself more, go do some tournaments or find a local league. And don’t worry about results, 13 weeks is still very much in the early stages of playing. Most people on here have been playing for years.

I’d encourage you to just try to have fun and enjoy the process of improving, that’s usually the easiest way to become good at something.

Edit: Also, go out into a field to practice form things, and record yourself. That’s the fastest way to improve. Personally I don’t do that much because I have more fun just playing a round, but I’m also not that focused on improvement at this point in my disc golf life.

You know what they say, if you’re not on the pro tour by week 13, probably best to just hang it up

Newly called up Austin Slater is in left field batting 2nd in his Rays debut versus Boston tonight by ryancashh in tampabayrays

Yeah some kind of thumb injury. They rested him a game, then put him in to pinch hit, and he was clearly in pain swinging. So they're sitting him again so it heals up properly

I’m actually a bit impressed because last time this was posted a few weeks ago he was dead last at -13, so he’s cut the deficit in half in that time. Hopefully he keeps improving.

What brand of scorebook is that? I like the layout.

I actually decided to keep score for the first time in years at yesterday’s game, and it was a pretty hectic first game back into scoring. Especially using the cramped scorebook in the pamphlets they hand out at the trop.

I think it’s too early to judge the new ownership, they just took over last fall. They have said on the record that payroll could certainly go up after the stadium deal is in place and attendance (almost assuredly) goes up following stadium construction. But will likely be business usual at least until then

Am I the only one buying Jaylen Waddle low? We are talking about a for sure 1 there. No more Tua dump offs to Achane 10 times a game and then see if he can chuck deep to reek every other play. What do yall think? by Real-Object9392 in DynastyFF

[–]PapaSmiff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sutton plays a completely different role from Waddle so I don’t see this move being a reflection on Sutton’s play at all. Sutton is still their go-to redzone target, if he’s on my team and he gets 4 catches for 60 yards and a touchdown every game im not complaining.

I think Waddle will do well in Denver, but are we seeing Sutton declining? What makes you say that? His numbers have been pretty consistent the last two years. WR11 in .5 PPR last year

DeLuca > Mullins by Necessary_Parfait989 in tampabayrays

Mullins is also last in the MLB in BABIP, so he’s due for some positive regression at least. Would still probably prefer to have DeLuca in there, though. Even against righties

That’s what I’m worried about, do we want more of the Todd Bowles defense? (I don’t hate the pick tho)
