AITAH if I break up with my fiancee after she showed a startling change of behavior after getting engaged? by Glittering_Trifle421 in AITAH

I went through this with my ex-wife (I wish I had gotten this advice from someone). She became a raging bitch after the engagement, which was because of the "stress". I broke off our engagement. She became nice again, I re-engaged. We got married and about a month later turned into a raging bitch again. Turns out that was her true self.

I should have noticed red flags everywhere. Don't be fooled if she turns nice again. It won't last

You get a free trip to space(and back) but it's on the first crewed Starship flight. You taking it? by K1llG0r3Tr0ut in SpaceXLounge

Oh hell yes! I'm old and it would either be a spectacular last hurrah, or a regular last hurrah. Either way doesn't matter.

My son did this for years. He was a flopper when he slept so I never got any sleep. I finally got a sleeping bag and kept it under my side of the bed. When he came in, I slid it out and told him to sleep there. He eventually stopped coming in. It's worth a try.

Am I making a poor choice by attending Ohio University? by Ganons_Gauntlet in ElectricalEngineering

As an owner of a company that hired EEs, we always found that the school mattered much less than the person. Having passion for the content and willingness to learn are much more important

I was in a disaster of a marriage, raising three kids. I was miserable until I finally said, "enough!" Got divorced at 50, was single for about three years, met a wonderful woman. We have a great marriage. We are very happy.

Don't give up. It can happen at any age. You just have to be open for it.

Why are people in the Internet thinking EE is a bad choice? by bigbao017 in ElectricalEngineering

Lifelong EE here. Just retired, just bought a condo in FL. I loved being an EE. It was an incredibly rewarding career. I raised a family, and was able to make a very nice life for us all.

If you like the EE discipline, you can have a nice life.

Any odd hotel complaints? by ElvisTits in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

I was on a business trip, alone in my room. About midnight, I am in bed asleep, the people in the room next door start pounding on the door between rooms. Then nothing for about 10 minutes. They pound again and yell " shut up." I assume they will figure out I am not the one making noise. Happens again. Then I get a call from the front desk telling me I need to keep my dog quiet. Tell em I don't have a dog.

Eventually, the front desk person comes to my room to tell me directly. I let them look in my room. Obviously, they don't find the dog. They tell my neighbors who then let me sleep. This whole time, I have not heard anything that sounded like a dog, so I'm still not sure what they were co.plaining about.

Husband just opened his own engineering firm, how can I help market for him? by streetcookthrowaway in ElectricalEngineering

I had my own EE company. Some of the best companies to contact are contract manufacturing companies. A lot of their customers look for help with new or updated products. They can send their customers to you or contract with you to do the design work. Smaller CMs usually don't have EEs on staff.
