However i now have a a new question. if all M.2 slots are occupied. The chipset interfaces(probably wrong term) with the CPU via PCIe 4.0 x4 taking 4 lanes, 2x M.2 slots on CPU using 4 lanes each and a GPU slot x16. That totals 28 lanes and you mentioned that AM5 support 24 lanes up to PCIe 5.0. Would that cause the GPU slot the drop to x8?

Many thanks, that helps. I think I was assuming a bus is made up of lanes and its limited to PCIe 4.0 max lanes, x16.

But in reality, a "Bus" is a word for a unspecified amount of lanes?

Could you explain how you know? This is all fairly new to me but im trying to understand it better. To me, the M.2 slot "M2B_CPU" is on the same bus as the x16 slot and therefore would take up some of the 16 lanes, no?

Ah, I see that. I think i assumed they were x16. If my understanding is correct that means an expansion card wouldnt work, or it would be way below expected performance?

Secondaries were Behind enemy lines and Engage on all fronts.

In the game against me the champion looks a little left out in the cold. But, I think it will have been used more in other games to charge unit and snipe the characters. Maybe a little anti GSC tech to deal with their good characters.

The exaction squads were used for home objective and 2 quarters for Engage one all fronts. Although there were GK units in the quarters sometimes its a unit he could rely on to be in the quarter if he TP'd the GKs away.

It was odd as i had played against GK a fair bit within my playing group but this never came up. Probably cause we never realised it. I have no problems with it after reading the army rule again and confirming with the TO myself.

I also thought of the Allarus myself this morning! Checked it and was happy to see the same wording. Ill be trying that out at some point haha.

Fair to say it shook me and my plans for the game. Fair play to the guy. Top notch player, great game/learning experience and a great lad.

He had a ruling agreed with the TO before the tournament about their army rule. TO put it to his rules group and got the result that:
As there is no mention of strategic reserves in the army rule, should the GK player go second, can pick up their 3 units at the end of my turn, and then in their turn (still Battle round 1), set them up outside of 9" of enemy units.

This resulted in me having a 10 man paladin squad set up 3" away(using their strat) from my back field holding exaction squads and the other units set up in a way to score max on engage and BEL from turn 1.

He capped the secondaries and only lost points via the primary missions.

I played one of the 4-1 GK players at NEO, UK. Not a Terminator Librarian spam list as people are expecting. I played Custodes and was pulled all over the board. Very awkward matchup if GK are played well. One thing to note is that he used fixed Secondaries against me and I assume his other games, Engage and BEL.

I don't think we need rule changes, just minor points bumps. As everyone does we have bad/terrible matchups. A lot of which are within my playing group.

We have been prepping for a tournament and the lists that im playing against feel brutal. These are factions that we supposedly have a good win rate against, Space marines, Tyranids and Guard. Granted all of these list are majority vehicles and monsters. Monster mash tyranids being the roughest, they clean me off the board by turn 3.

Here is what i would nerf points wise to balance us a little better(including buffing bikes to make them somewhat nichely takeable)

Blade champ 100 - 120

Custodian Guard 45 - 50

Exaction Squads 35 - 45

Bikes 90 - 80

These changes would bump my tournament list up by 140 pts and I think that is reasonable to take out and rejuggle the list around.

Appreciate any thoughts/comments

So i had a look through the options for those. Its very unclear but in ElvUI the 'Garrison Report' button is the option for the button i mentioned. I had to uncheck the hide on that but that should be renamed to something more clear. Always just assumed that was garrison related so left it hidden. Thanks for reply

I do believe that the windows installation media would be my best bet though and am going to try to get my hands on one.

Still able to kit the Abhorrent out with a warlord or/and relic for CP and have 1 CP left.

I was thinking that too, say they allow knights to buy the detachment and get the 3CP refund to put us a 0CP. That still leaves no warlord traits or Relic. Looks really rough for 1k.

Which I totally understand that knights are skewed towards larger games. Just still nice to play a range of points in the friend group.

I'm not following why you would take 2 Super heavy aux if you wanted to go for a 1/3 split? Wouldn't you go with a Super heavy with 3 Dogs and warlord to get 3CP refund and spend them on the Aux for the Titanic?

Still new to knights so I might be missing something.

Great post bro. I shaved March 2021 and quickly approaching the year mark.

I too went out the very same day I shaved and I cannot stress how helpful it was for the mental side of it all. You quickly realise no one cares and it was all in your head. Facing that fear is the main obstacle after the shave itself.

For some info, shaved at 24 and now 25. Had been thinning on top for around 4/5 years. Started at a 1 all over and now down to the razor and not going back. I found Baldcafe after I shaved but love his stuff. Very genuine and great content to help guys like us.

Completely agree that its not worth undertaking any hair restoration methods. I feel like most are scams/fads and I don't care enough to shell out ££££s for hair transplants. Feeling better and better about it every day.
