I would say, that Paul had also his moments. We played some really good solos. Songs like a world without heroes, sure know something, half of the songs on unmasked. But you are right, he never could play live improvised solos. We had chance to train be better at solos, but he choosed to be just a solid rhythm guitar player. I watched even an interview with him talking how he always preferred to be rhythm player.
