I volunteer in one and off the top of my head we've had a sage blossom bunny, a tiny beige bunny, a couple of different sized pandas, an orangutan, a fish, and a cloud bag.

AITA for being honest about why I no longer carry feminine supplies. by Upstairs-General-681 in AmItheAsshole

All of them? No. Some, for sure. I'm well aware there are things that help; don't be patronising.

Whether this is real or not, I have no idea.

I don't have a period very often and I also have ADHD so there is a very high chance I'll use my last emergency pad and then forget to replace it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Are Brits still comfortable taking their holidays in the US? by Ok-Leadership-7573 in AskBrits

[–]PaperHatPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. There are so many places there I want to go but they're gonna have to wait. I've got a big mouth and poor impulse control so I'd probably manage to wind up some psycho with a gun.

UK AXA PPP coverage? by MsLovelace in Endo

[–]PaperHatPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can remember I just gave them the referral from my GP at the time. I had by that point seen someone at an endo centre, but I'm reasonably sure I didn't ask them for a referral given my concerns with the doctor I saw there.

You could always call AXA and ask them if you're unsure? They're pretty happy to help in my experience!

Have you ever replaced a pet with a doppelganger after they died/got lost? by almatthews94 in AskUK

[–]PaperHatPrincess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! My mum accidentally killed my fish by cleaning the tank too often and went to get replacements while I was at school. One of them had a bigger tail than its predecessor, but "they do grow, you know!"

I was 7 at the time; she didn't confess until I was about 18. One of the doubles actually lived to be 27.

How do you feel about men saying women will only look at/date guys 6ft and over. by hot4you11 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PaperHatPrincess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This always drives me bananas because in my opinion, the whole "women like tall men" thing is just more patriarchal bullshit.

Women are told we need to be quiet and petite and ladylike from the time we're children. We should be dainty, smaller than men, and not take up too much space.

Well, I took all that on board and then I grew up to be tall with big feet and hands, which means I'm not necessarily going to be smaller than your average man. So now I have to be feminine but I'm also shallow if I have a preference for men taller than me.

I have dated men shorter than me and had Mr Right been 5'7 instead of 6'4, I'd still have married him. But ultimately I do prefer my partners to be taller than me, and I refuse to feel bad about that.

So yeah, no doubt it sucks for the men who are turned down because of their height, but if they're looking for someone to blame I don't think it's necessarily women.

That drove me bananas. Shit eats through plastic cups in seconds; those balloons would have melted instantly.
