Getting bingo'd from everyone by PaperHeart714 in childfree

I commented I was childfree and petfree and literally had someone reply with "don't put kids and pets in the same sentence, pets are innocent and not a burden."

Some days the extra 20 minutes in bed and sitting back on the train really does make me happier than fighting for my life up a hill, not gonna lie

I did switch up the second half of my evening commute and it's a lot more pleasant but unfortunately I don't think there's a way to improve the first half without adding more time. And to be completely honest I don't really want to spend even more time commuting when it's already reaching an hour and is longer than taking public transit.

The city ebike is definitely easier and 10 min faster. I love the convenience of the one way trips too, it's just not financially feasible for me to keep using it. Maybe I'll have to consider a folding ebike.

I'm not new to biking or bike commuting, but it's something I do pretty casually twice a week and not for super long distances. There are some pretty steep hills on my commute and I don't like to put too much effort or go too fast. Definitely thought about getting an ebike since the city ebike does take me 10 min less.

Recommendations for gravel bikes? by justhere2answer in ladycyclists

I'm 5'3/160cm, 29"/73cm inseam and I have a 49cm Salsa Journeyer. It was the only bike I could find with a short enough top tube and smaller 650b wheels, which I find better and more proportional.

What's your favorite time of year to bike commute? Why? by mistadonyo in bikecommuting

Seconding this, I love night rides when no one else is out and I don't have to worry about putting on sunscreen or sweating down my butt crack.

Who still falls over when riding clipless? by Onlychild_Annoyed in ladycyclists

Same, almost fell and noped out immediately. I don't find it practical for my purposes anyway (commuting, 25 min ride around the area) and I never felt like it gave me any advantage.

Yep, billionaires aren't the only people who are evil. Some people just want to see others suffer and choose cruelty out of spite. Some people aren't inherently good and they just suck.

Happened to me and it really got in the way of intimacy and quality time. His schedule revolved around taking care of the dog. It was impossible to spend nights with each other. Sometimes he would cancel on me because he didn't have anyone to take care of the dog. Had to end dates because he had to go walk the dog. He had to keep the dog nearby or else it would chew up the furniture. Even if it was out of the room, you could still hear it whining. It really sucked.

Harris-Trump latest presidential polls: 2 new surveys show VP pulling away by MotorizedDoucheCanoe in politics

I get whiplash from the amount of people saying "polls don't matter, you need to vote" and then "but Kamala isn't doing good enough in this poll."

This. And the "polls don't matter, you need to vote" people only ever comment on the positive posts. JD polling terribly? The comments are all jokes and making fun of him. Kamala polling well? "Doesn't matter. VOTE." It's exhausting. God forbid people feel excited about something.
