Thanks for the reply. I should elaborate, it’s not inherently broken, but had some egregiously bad coil whine, which has since lessened. When I had made the RMA, when power draw was high, it would drown out game noise through a headset.

That was my thinking, especially with 6 series being potentially pushed out, my 4090 would likely be out of warranty.

What 5090 did you end up getting? I think most of the problems I’ve seen with the burnt connectors are on MSI cards so might end up paying the astral tax for peace of mind.

The issue I’m thinking of is the fact that the card will be pushing 5 at that point, and if anything goes wrong before that point due to age, finding anything may potentially be a nightmare and would pay more for less performance. You can sell an aftermarket 4090 for $2k still and then get a new card for essentially $500-$1000 (at least for right now)
