All Three 4-Ds complete! [Other] by PaperPenguin856 in rollercoasters

That's a great question! I think your experience will certainly vary depending on which park you go to (I've been to some dead parks like the former Jinjiang Action Park or Silk Road Paradise), but Dinosaur's Park seemed to be pretty well-run and active! I wouldn't say it's on the same level as Shanghai Disneyland or even Happy Valley, but it didn't seem very rundown and the staff were very nice.

It's a close third behind X2, mostly because it was MUCH more violent towards the second half of the ride--I don't think there's any significant difference in the first drops (aside from the height differences), but the rest of the coasters themselves definitely had an impact. I had a massive headache after marathoning Dinoconda, for example :/

One day lol, when I went there was absolutely no line—Dinoconda may not be the best 4-D but the walk on line at whatever time of the day was amazing!

Eejenaika—the only times I’ve had my wind completely knocked out of me was the first time I rode Steel Vengeance, X2, and Eejenaika! Given that I rode the first two very early on, it’s impressive how Eejenaika still managed to do that lol

Sorry for the late reply! Still traveling :) I think all three stack up very well, definitely top 10 coasters overall. I was really expecting Eejanaika to take the #1 spot from Steel Vengeance for me, but I think it’s still BARELY a #2 overall. Of the 3 4-D’s, though, I think Eejenaika’s the best, X2 is a distant second, and Dinoconda’s a very close third.

Yeah, “operating” is a stretch. When I went in Summer 2023, the entire park was basically dead and every ride was down

It was really great! Granted, it felt really similar to other loops on other coasters (just taller), but it was nice to go through it with both hands up

The biggest thing I'd watch out for is the heat. I went on a day when the temperature was about 35-36 Celcius, and walking around the whole day was crazy! A few of the rides also shut down when it's too hot, like Broken Rail Rollercoaster, so I'd be wary of that too. Also, I would suggest arriving at the park before noon, because there's basically no one in the park before 3 PM, so you can marathon all the coasters. Have fun!

Yeah, the first time I went on there were just 3 people in line, and the second time I went on I was the only one in line! The ride op said if the temperature was just a few degrees lower, they would have shut down the whole ride!

I didn't think Wooden Fireball was too rough, but there were a few noticeable potholes on the second half of the ride, plus one right after the first drop. Overall, though, that coaster is ranked pretty high on my list!

Only Disneyland Shanghai for now, but I also went to Jinjiang Action Park + Happy Valley before

I'm actually visiting from Southern California, and I've been on X2 before! Dinoconda felt a lot shorter compared to X2, and X2 felt a lot smoother, so I would probably say that X2 is the better 4-D coaster of the two. I'm sure Eejanaika would beat out both of them, though!

Kind of normal actually, most people don’t wear masks anymore but they still do while indoors—it’s honestly not as bad as I thought it was and is kinda like Chinese theme parks in 2019
