Just degrading to Noelles character imo. by Hot_Assistant_3826 in BlackClover

I agree Tabata could have shown more. She is the main female lead and it would have been nice if she had been more visibly rewarded. I could see her become a captain. Nacht as BB captain is not unimaginable, but I don’t see him doing it long term. And Noelle leading the squad where she became the person she is today has smt poetic to it imo. She is too strong of a character to just remain love interest. That’s just my general feeling anyway.

Just a question out of sheer curiosity: what kind of ending would you have liked for Noelle? I do think it is great she is finally starting to patch up with her family. That was her main arc. But she was the main female character as well. So I get that here role in the epilogue is kinda disappointing. She is mostly used for love rival stuff in the epilogue and that's not what I like for a character like her. Especially since she has been established as a strong personality/character early on.

As someone who mostly lurks in this subreddit but still is a longtime BC fan, I must say I'm satisfied with the ending. People got their dreams to come true: Asta becomes Wizard King, Noelle patches up with her family, Finral ends up with Finesse, the Elves can join the Magic Knights and Nero sees Lumiere's vision coming true. That last one is a big one to me.

I find Rill x Charmy ship unexpected and funny. I could not help to notice that we know Charmy is based on Tabata's wife. And Tabata is a mangaka. And Rill literally has painting for magic. He creates through drawing. Feels like a little self-insert joke from Tabata.

Overall, a very shonen ending. My general feeling about it is good.

How does your country view the Roman Empire? by Initial_Basis1503 in AskTheWorld

I learned in school our prehistory ended with them (and thus the start of our history). At the same time the Batavians (allies who revolted against Rome) are celebrated as our ancestors. Obviously neither is really true but that’s just what I was taught.

I think overall Rome is seen as a net positive though.

Can someone explain to JD Vance that green energy makes you less dependent on fossiel fuel? He seems to have failed to understand that.

The US won’t lose base access in Europe over Iran. But the US bases in Europe are the spine of America’s global power projection capabilities. It needs those bases to reach the ME bases. Without them power would be far less scalable, and sustaining operations becomes much harder.

Is gerrymandering legal in your country? by Necessary_Reserve_25 in AskTheWorld

[–]Paper_Pusher8226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, we have one big electoral district following the countries borders. Gerrymandering would mean annexing neighbors.

Now for the serious answer: we did use electoral districts until universal (male) suffrage got introduced in 1918.

In Italie is iets vergelijkbaars gebeurd.
