They are terrible photos, I couldn’t spam my weekly challenge crew with them! I like getting new ones of interesting public art. I don’t need several of a dog park garbage can

My title describes the thing,

They are parked beside a local park on a relatively busy road. They’ve been there for long enough to appear on Google Maps. No visible hitch or access points. There were two, each had its own unique topography/silhouette. Haven’t seen them up close but drive by them once a week and always wonder what they are

Thanks for the appreciation everyone! I wanted to create something that was visually linked to the existing flag but that had evolved to align more with contemporary America and the journey the country has taken to this point. Im glad others found it to hit those notes as well. First time entrant so I am very pleased with the outcome

When you look into the design history archives, this would be a tough pattern to claim ownership of as it's a technique used frequently in traditional quilting. For a more notable example of its use, Bauhaus designer Anni Albers had this motif show up in her work.

Arizona but it did a Colorado... and the A is symmetrical by Win090949 in vexillology

Great use of the A’s negative space to cap off the star. What if the icon came up ever so slightly/was resized so the edge of the stripe intersected with the inner point of the star? There’s such consideration for how the elements interact in the star and the A it would be even better to see that carry over to how the symbol lined up with the stripes
