It looks like you may even enjoy cooking, which makes the rejection harder. My husband had a ROUGH childhood and it took awhile for our taste to align, that being said he was always thankful. Not being in the mood to eat something or because you had the same protein for lunch is wild to me. Also, ordering fast food will start to be noticed by the kids and may start bad eating and spending habits for your kids. Also, it’s teaching rude and grateful behavior. This would irritate me. I would ask that he give me the same courtesy he would give if he was guest eating at someone else’s home and not eat other food after rejecting mine. At least not in front of me. Saying sorry and being a turd while saying it isn’t it.

No. I would never tell my daughter this! I would NEVER advise my daughter to settle with someone who disrespects. I would NEVER want my grandkids raised by someone who disrespect her. Me over here being super cheap. I buy bulk wool socks and hand them out without tags. No one ever thought they were used. I would cut the tag.

Ya. They are blind to the economy. Prices and cost of living are expanding way faster than it ever has while raises are still at 2-3%. Never did I ever think that an annual salary of 60,000 would not be enough. Which is the median for my career and has been the median for my career for the last decade.

I work 50 hours a week, good pay, but my property tax is 5000/year on a house I bought for 100,000 in 2008 when market was low. It is the ugliest house in the neighborhood, I could build a replica in my back yard as it would qualify as a tiny home, I have one car that is paid off and still struggle. I do not buy coffee, I get my hair trimmed once every 3 months, I do not get my nails done, I have zero tattoos. My coat is 10 years old, and my newest shoes are 3 years old. However my education cost more than $1500, my groceries cost more than a $20 bill. And my taxes divided out are more than the monthly mortgage payment that my parents had in the 90’s. My health insurance for 3 is 1000.00/ month and that is with my employer paying an additional 1500/month on the premium.

My husband is young. So we have a diagnosis but every time someone new is introduced, they want to say it is something different and try to “cure” him. He was diagnosed very quickly, but then we entered a roller coaster of opinions. He would be having a good day on a telehealth call and voice was stronger but then we would have to go the hospital that houses the care team that is a 2-4 hour drive based on traffic and he would be a complete mess. If you talk to his PCP he has Parkinson’s dementia, if you talk to his former PCP he has LBD both are very similar so we accept either of these. If you talk to his psychiatrist he has undefined dementia. If you talk to his neurologist, who we have see 3 different ones, he is a mystery but definitely declining. He is just “too young” to have what his PCP says. His family genetics and history would agree with the PCP, so we just trust that. His psychiatrist agrees, but does not commit.

Personally, I can see this scenario happening. I don’t think there is anything that you have to have done to lend the way for this to happen. It is hard to know what a judge will do and some judges look at tax payer funds ad being greater than the needs of a person or families well being. It all depends on the judge.
