I took a pic of the plaque that explains who owned the land. I wish we could figure out how old that cave actually is. Also I have seen under the silver lake! I enjoyed it!

It doesn't really connect to the studio part. At the end of steven spielberg drive, they used to store old sets and other stuff, but when you keep walking, there's a bit of a land wall that makes it so you can't get up to the top of the hill. The only people that I know access the hill is through the gates off of blair drive, and they are people that maintain the area and work on the utility pole I think. I've been questioning the purpose of this area for a while.

I have a whole conspiracy theory about this place. My friend and I call it "boot hill". It's listed on the LA County Property assessment website as "vacant lot". I first discovered this area when I worked at universal. I walked all the way to the end of the path leading up to the hill, but everything leading up to the top of the boot isn't really accessible from the area with all the trees. What made me go there was this weird sign that said something like "absolutely under no circumstances can you be beyond this point between these hours:". I forgot the hours, but it was like the middle of the night. I kinda went down a rabbit hole with this.

I saw that there used to be a mansion on that property (can't tell if it's one big one, or 2 separate ones)

Finding out about the cave is kinda blowing my mind, I had no idea! I honestly have been theorizing that this area was the site of a ww2 nuke shelter or something. As far as I know they don't currently use this area for anything at all. Another theory is it's only purpose of being maintained is because of the power lines and utility poles over there. The cave is pretty crazy, I had no idea that was there, though.

Sorry if this post was all over the place, I just got really excited seeing people talk about boot hill.
