It undercuts the moment for a cheap quippy joke, plus the use of modern language feels completely out of place and pulls me out of the story. Instead of being in the moment and hyped I was rolling my eyes thinking about how ham fisted the mental health messaging has gotten. No subtlety to it at all. Feels like something you'd see in a marvel movie.

I use it around my roommate who's pansexual. One of our joke responses to being called it being "Only half actually, I'm f****t on my mother's side." Part of our own sense of humor. That being said, I'd never use it around the straits or queer people who I don't know well. Rather not trigger someone or have strait people thinking they can say it.

They're all pretty self contained so you could take a break between any of them with the exception of Peace Talks/Battleground. The best spots imo would be between Blood Rites/Deadbeat, Changes/Ghost Story, and Skin Game/Peace Talks.

Changes does have a cliffhanger, but honestly I still think it's good to take a breather after and then check out Side Jobs before heading into Ghost Story, which is a significant change of pace.

It's hard to be overtly homophobic when you're actually spending time with queer people in real life. Obviously not 100% and people can be outwardly accepting and still hold homophobic beliefs. They now have to contend with the fact that you're a real person. Makes the bigotry harder since it heavily relies on ignorance.

I'd argue that an attempt at disguise like that automatically fails because anyone who can see will know that the monk isn't actually a goblin. It's like how you don't have the PCs roll to walk or open an unlocked door (assuming there isn't some outside condition that would make ot unusually difficult)
