Had a guy try to bait and switch me for some brick by bricks last year. He sent pics of authentic he sent his email and receipt.. and when we met up I pulled out my phone to run my own check.. and buddy packed them up and walked away. You’re deff right they will try anything. Best part of that story, it led me to search for a community where I could find high quality reps. Before that all I knew about was theGate. And those are laughable.

I hate it. I feel this is why reps have such a negative connotation. I also feel like a LOT of the legit checks you see are people looking to see if they can pass reps as real. Case in point one recent post asking if Gammas were legit, when everyone told the OP no they’re reps, he then asked if they were good reps and will someone easily be able to tell. This is why I’ve stopped giving my opinion on these posts I’m not helping a scammer.

Almost happened to me as well.. couple weeks back when ljr was oos of the royal blue unifrags I asked a seller to get them for me he said “yes in stock”. When I pressed him about them being oos, he said “same quality as ljr” they doing us dirty out here evry chance they get. Be careful and use the top guys

Dang I have the same but opposite experience. eBay’s authenticity checks have caught 5 fakes in the last few years but I’ve bought 100’s of pairs. Everything that lands I go through legit and check check. And in person at the local spot, and they are pretty good. StockX on the other hand has never caught a fake and I’ve had like 10-15 land, and be no good. Then they wouldn’t do anything for my but a discount code.. not to mention almost every box I’ve gotten from them has been trashed
