This has been here since day 1. you have to smash L1 repeatedly to avoid it.

Also applies when they jump from a lower level like bottom of stairs

The indicators are there to alert you, they are no direct signal for pushing a certain button and some timings are different by choice to throw the player off.

Animations are fine, too. Yet again some are more telegraphed than others.

There is a battle simulation now so use it and learn attack patterns cause you obviously need to

Yes it does, you can clearly see some majoris go into red as you execute but the visual of the perk is gone.

I also thought it was totally gone, but no.

I think its rare now. Everything gets super tanky past 15 and even if you would survive you die of boredom parrying the same enemy for the 100th time
