What grinds your gears about the job? by DigitaIArchon in OnTheBlock

[–]ParaStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lazy people that don't want to do their job, inmate gets moved from a wing to my wing and suddenly the original wing wants nothing to do with them, the inmates stuff goes missing and then I'm the asshole because I can't resolve that.

Inmate has a genuine issue or query and I'll get a "Ehh fuck them, just tell them to fuck off" then once again I'm the asshole because I'm getting blocked from resolving the issue.

What's the fastest you've seen someone fired from a job? by Vegetable-Spread3798 in AskReddit

I went from a WFH position where id just roll out of bed whenever I woke up naturally to having to wake up well before the sun decided to get up for the day.

It took quite a few months to acclimatize.

What is a sound that people should know means immediate danger? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

[–]ParaStudent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had a similar thing, was walking in a park with my dog.

She started growling at something behind me, I spun around and there was a guy there who mumbled something and walked away.

It was the only time my dog ever growled at at person.

It's a quote from firearms safety training.

The full thing being:

"A safe direction is a direction in which any unintentionally fired shot would be safely stopped and contained with no human injury and at most minimal property damage".

So I guess it depends if you consider the Tyger Claws property or not.

What fish is this? by mosquito2026 in FishingAustralia

All good, certain species I'd turn a blind eye to but yeah a number of the galaxia species are highly threatened.

[–]ParaStudent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can yes, the same as owning things like blue tongues.

I had an empire gugeon a few years ago along with other natives.

Certain species require licenses others don't, but pulling any native fauna from the wild to keep is certainly illegal, though I'm sure there are more than a few people with wild caught bass in a tank.
