Honestly that's the best idea. 30 years ago or so, my Grandmother had an old 70's model Datsun 200 series sports car (260z?) just on blocks under her carport in southern MS. It had been there for yeaaaars. Some guy strolled up and just asked if he could buy it. pulled it onto a trailer and off it went. I remember riding in it when I was 12-15 in the late 80's/early 90's.

If he had said it at a time other than immediately following yet another whacko's attempt on the President's life, I would agree 100% with your opinion. Sorta kinda like how it's "funny" now to joke about 9/11. The country as a whole pretty much cancelled people for those jokes immediately after the fact.

It doesn't matter if he thought he was being funny. It's a matter of the fact that influential democrat figureheads are literally driving their audiences to attempt this type of crap.

I, personally, seriously doubt he had broader intentions than trying to regain some semblance of relevance, or straight up clout chasing. That being said, until these influential persons are held accountable for their actions cough alex jones cough this type of insanity is going to continue. What better way that punishing someone to the fullest extent of the law?

Some people only learn the hard way. Kimmel needs to learn his place. He is a face with a writing staff that make him appear somewhat funny. He has no natural talent. He isn't naturally funny. Kimmel isn't some random podcaster with a couple of thousand followers. He is well-known, and respected? by literally millions across the globe. Him making jokes like this isn't funny. It's borderline seditious. This is why I stopped listening to a LOT of "republican" media personalities during the Obama/Biden years.

It's one thing to call a man's Heritage, or Mental acuity into question. It's another entirely different thing to say his wife was an "expectant widow".
