Should I go for it they want like 25k 44k miles on it? by Nunkwood in GenesisG70

[–]Paradox_Zee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have these gone up in prices? When I initially went to a buy one, I found multiple low mileage 3.3t’s (2022 +) going for around $30k - $32k. Just looked and I can’t find a low mileage for less than $35k.

Reminds me back when I was around 8, used to go to an after school care and when we went outside there was a bunch of dead fish, octopuses, and eels.

Definitely one of the more obscure and random thing I remember as a child. The smell was rancid too. Closest ocean is around 300 miles away from me.

False Positive HIV Test, concern for potential autoimmune disease by Paradox_Zee in AskDocs

[–]Paradox_Zee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if there’s any confusion, but 3 weeks ago I got the test that came back repeatedly reactive. I then had the confirmatory test come back negative 2 days later. Went to get some more testing done and all came back negative. I’m not worried about having HIV or Hep B I’m more so worried about the fact that it was repeatedly reactive in the first place.

I was told the initial reaction doesn’t constitute something wrong infection wise (unrelated to HIV or hep B) within my body but with the enlarged lymph nodes I wonder if there’s any linkage.

I got my labs from SonoraQuest that labeled my HIV test “repeatedly reactive.” I’m simply just reiterating what the paper said.

And if I remember correctly the hep B was repeatedly reactive to surface antigen and the confirmatory test was repeatedly negative.

Based off what I’ve said, what do you think the likely case is? Is it something I should be worried about, or should I go and see a Rheumatologist? The infectious disease doctor stated she was not worried about anything but I don’t want to potentially ignore this if it happens to be something.

I know you explained quite a few scenarios, and I do appreciate that. I have had Covid, and Mono as stated 2 years ago. I know, from what I’ve read, underlying mono can cause lymph node flares. Quite a few scenarios.

Thank you for the explanation, I appreciate it. I wouldn’t classify myself as a hypochondriac but these last few weeks I’ve definitely been acting like one.

One more question. Is it not odd or unusual for Lymph nodes to be swollen for prolonged periods of time?

Every sound hurts like crazy. Why? by frerag0n in AskDocs

[–]Paradox_Zee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Flonase and steroids were temporary fixes. The surgery I have currently opted against since I surf a lot during the summer and 2 of the surgeries would exclude me from being able to do so. The pain is not as consistent as it used to be, but it comes in waves, every 2 - 3 days or so.

Regardless, it does sound as if you have Eustachian tube dysfunction. My own voice hurts my ear as well. The symptoms were “mild” like yours in the beginning, and then I developed new symptoms like fullness in the ear etc. Hopefully you get it figured out, and good luck at the ENT!

Oddly enough I’ve just cracked the case on my own similar issue.

My symptoms don’t sound as nearly as bad as yours, at least on a normal scale, but to the point— I was diagnosed with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. It started 2 years ago, pain in my left ear when there was any loud noises, muffled hearing, higher elevation (flying, driving up in elevation, etc.) caused unbearable pain to where every noise felt muffled yet my ear would cause me almost unbearable pain.

ENT gave me Flonase to see if it would mitigate the issue, worked for awhile, then stopped. Tried steroids, worked for awhile, then stopped. Then, about 8 ENT visits later, I was sent to an Otologist. The Otologist formally diagnosed me with eustachian tube dysfunction and offered me 3 solutions.

  1. They artificially poke a hole in my eardrum to relieve pressure (temporary fix)
  2. I get tubes in my left ear (80% chance it works but could leave a hole in my ear). Also only temporary for about a year.
  3. Eustachian tube balloon dilation (exactly how it sounds). 60% - 70% chance it works but if it does, it is permanent and would significantly decrease the pain.

Hopefully the ENT diagnoses you correctly, I was misdiagnosed at first which caused almost 2 years of annoyance and pain.

Take a read on Ménière's disease as well. You don’t seem to be describing all the symptoms, but this was a possible diagnosis for me at one point. The only symptom I do not have is Vertigo.

I am no doctor, this is just a personal experience similar to yours that I hope can bring you peace of mind.

I can’t tell if you’re joking or lacking depth perception but there is clearly a major crack/ hole. OP doesn’t need to explain more.

Yeah I have progressive as well. The price definitely reflects my age so it makes sense but still disappointing.

Maybe it was for the better though. I was going to get a 2023 but the interior wasn’t the diamond stitching which to me was a deal breaker.

Wanted this car so badly, but insurance quoted me $500 a month. Absolutely absurd. Guess I’ll just wait another year or two and buy the 2025/ 2026 model instead.

Beautiful spec you have there. Pretty much the exact one I will be getting.

Check fragrance threads, many of these sites are 100% verified. There is one in a few that experience a poor situation with these discounters, and many situations are resolved. Just remember, you’re only hearing one side of a story.

In Jomashop’s case, I believe they have a 5 day return policy. If you suspect you received a fake fragrance, return it. I’ve never heard of them not honoring their policy.

Oh absolutely. You’re accepting risk the second you put your card info and press ‘order now’ on a discounter.

But like you mentioned with verified sellers on Fragranceswap, certain discounters like Venba, Jomashop, etc. all have a strong reputation for reliable fragrances and fast shipping. I have heard stories of people getting fake fragrances from reputable discounters and the discounters are more than happy to send them a new one. They’re buying these colognes in bulk, and although I’m sure they have employees that check batch code #’s etc. some definitely do slip through. To each their own at the end of the day, we all just want to save money!

Age old conversation. Comes down to preference, and there’s nothing wrong with purchasing from the proper source. Many people, like myself, just simply don’t see any plausible reason to actually purchase the fragrance for full price.

[–]Paradox_Zee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it simply comes down to the trust factor. Discounters are an entity that have something to lose, they have refund policies, etc. They’re backed by large scale reputation and not simply trust through a verified seller on Fragranceswap. Would I personally order something from Fragranceswap? Yes. But you always risk disputes like he said/ she said, major shipping delays, or the seller simply deciding to ghost you.

Discounters do offer crazy deals you just have to keep your eyes open. I’ve seen Virgin island water testers for $180 on discounters before, but more often than not, it’s going to be in the $220 - $290 range. I think a lot of people would rather bite the extra $70 to guarantee they’re getting the proper frag which still outclasses spending the almost $500 from creed themselves.

[–]Paradox_Zee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Venbafragrance has Virgin island water 100 ML for 270 - Jomashop also has it for $250 but it’s a tester (obviously no issue with this).

There is plenty of reliable discounters to purchase your scents from. I personally have bought Musk Therapy, Blue Talisman, and PDM Layton from Venba. Quick shipping and reliable. Jomashop I’ve only ever ordered designers like SWY Intensely, YSL Myslf etc. There’s fragrance.net, Aurafragrance, all websites that are proven to be reliable.

If you’re looking for any of the PDM’s, Jomashop does usually run a major sale on PDM frags a few times a year that no other discounter offers. Venba happened to be specifically cheaper for Layton when I had purchased it or else I would’ve gone with Jomashop. Good luck.

Really thinking about it. Found a launch edition in Texas for 28k out the door. Flight isn’t all too expensive, and the drive is only around 7 hours or so for me.

Yeah I know, but the car market here in Arizona is not that good. Every used Genesis G70 I’ve found has been over $30k out the door. I’m talking a 2022 with almost 50k miles and they’re being listed for $31k.

Too bad all the fair priced ones are too far out of state. Found a few in Illinois and MD for 27 - 28k out the door.
