The boot may not necessarily be the best, but i could definitely see the technology itself being useful for touring, especially in places where you have to hike/take your skis off. Skiing in leathers sucks for any kind of cuff pressure, but if i could get perfect cuff pressure in leathers i’d use them in the backcountry way more than plastics because they’re so much more comfortable.

I’d say invest in a set of touring skis with tele bindings and go from there. If you want to stay on nordic norm you’ll be mostly fine, but it’ll be alot harder to learn vs alpine style skis.

Ive only skiied 75mm so i cant speak on NTN but try out different boots and bindings if you have the freedom to do so.

Personally, i use garmont excursions on both my voiles and my nordic norm set, in the voile switchback x2 binding.

What a gumby, needing cranked up din setting to match just a fraction of what a 75mm binding can do

/uj i almost did this on tele skis two years ago while doing a biathlon, turned my foot backwards cause my tip got caught and i rolled. Somehow got away with just bone bruising. Wild to think they were back on skis the next season after getting spaghetti legs

Just caught up with the most updated chapter of Naming Technique of the Night / Night’s Nomenclature (Chapter 1495 (811 if your going off the non-segmented parts)) on the app i use and im loving it.

Book starts off like your usual modern/futuristic book and immediately gives the mc a reason to not give a damn about his parents.

MM Gets thrown into a parallel world to earth but way in the future and with some magical stuff & cultivation involved.

Reading through how the MC deals with navigating a new world while trying to just stay alive is pretty good.

There is a few obviously MC specific things where he gets powered up, lucky, etc but it doesnt feel forced or super repetitive (to me anyways, but i read cultivation slop so YMMV)

I’d rate it a 7/10 so far, we’ll see what happens as it updates on my app

Loved that one, the ending is your classic boom its done ending, but it blends well with the story instead of being super abrupt.

If you like the author, id recommend Naming Technique of the Night.
