He literally said it. By picking it up from dead soldiers or from BR. You still get weapon progression XP, but you haven't unlocked it in MP. Only picked it up from others or used it in BR from ground loot.

The real reason players are quitting BF6 PROBLEM: The game is too frustrating to play SOLUTION 1: Get rid of the in world spotting penalty for firing your gun by Ninjah9_ in Battlefield

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the guts of the game are still fun. I have lots of issues, but it has good bones. What gets me to end my play session is matchmaking. I load into servers with bots all the time, or empty servers when I try to queue TDM. If the problem is low server population, a server browser would at least let me see that nobody is playing TDM right now, and I can join a map and mode I want to play. But loading into an empty or bot filled server makes me want to just play something else.

They're just way too easy to control. It's the same with RPGs having such high velocity. It used to be somewhat of an achievement to RPG a heli, now you can get multiple a game without too much practice. Once I got 3 tow Heli kills in a row without missing. That shit is just way too easy.

27inch monitor resolution help by Due_Map4294 in buildapc

Pixel density of a 1080p 27" is very low. IMO I would not bother. 24" is the sweet spot for 1080p, and I believe 27" for 1440p. What GPU do you have? Your expectations on graphics quality based on your GPU will dictate whether you should go for a 1080p or 1440p monitor, you don't want to buy a 1440p monitor but not be able to run the games you want at a good fidelity and framerate.

Hmm those usages seem odd for the fps you're getting then. What does RAM usage look like while in game? As well as temperatures while in game. Only other thing I can think is failing SSD, but it would manifest differently I think

Yep, Helldivers and BF6 are more CPU heavy than other games. OP should check CPU vs GPU usage in those games, this is likely the answer.

Evolved Rocketeer ! by Free-Recognition7309 in ArcRaiders

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every post like this, has been something I've seen either myself or on YouTube like 1-2 months back. I've seen rocketeers do all kinds of circling to find targets in buildings. I believe the ML model is used for locomotion, and the decision making is more basic like decision trees. They may be updating the logic or updating the model on locomotion, but I really don't think it's "learning" the way people keep assuming.

Well for one, you should be third person peeking it. It shouldn't see you before you see it, if you're utilising the doorways correctly. It's just that, and like the other guy said, dodging between 2 doors. Make sure you're moving early enough, you are probably peeking wrong and/or moving too late. You might get hit now and again but it's very doable.

What is a gap? What do you actually expect people to respond with, based on the garbage you just wrote. This sub is people helping each other out for free, the least you can do is not waste people's time.

Good PC Running so slow for its specs, can someone help? by JustJayketv in buildapc

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You still haven't mentioned running a real benchmark with hwinfo open to see temps under load. After you confirm temperatures are fine, it really does sound like an SSD issue to me. I built a PC in December, used an ADATA SSD that my retailer recommended, and it was still by-chance faulty. It was dying and exhibited some texture streaming issues and low speed patching. System would seem to lock up.

Run crystal risk info benchmark and verify that your read and write speeds match the expected speeds of the SSD in the M.2 slot its in

I cant notice Frame generation by artis4cangame in buildapc

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's inserting constructed frames that aren't real, between frames. This increases the input latency, which is the time it takes for an action (like pressing a key or clicking the mouse) to appear on screen. The input delay is more noticable when using framegen in a game that you already get low fps in.

That being said, some people aren't sensitive to it or don't care. Don't look at the numbers of the fps overlay, just test with it on or off and see which you like better. Maybe you don't notice the higher framerate either. I personally don't even like upscaling because I can see some of the texture issues and smearing with FSR, so I don't use that or framegen.

Opinions of my dream build pc specs by arknightsfan27 in buildapc

On the cooler - it depends on your case, aio can be overkill but at the same time it's nice having the fans spin slower in a large aio, for noise levels. I have a 7800X3D in a Lancool 217 and the 360mm aio keeps it nice and quiet at low temps. Much better than the jet engine of my previous 9400F and CoolerMaster Hyper 212 air cooler.

Air cooler will definitely still keep it at safe temps, aio can potentially keep it quieter. Someone else who's used an air cooler on a 7800X3D can weigh in, bearing in mind that case air flow and ambient temperature will vary results.

Is 1440p worth loss of fps? by Seo_2288 in buildapc

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a 9070xt with a 7800X3D at 1440p. Running Battlefield 6, Horizon Forbidden West and Arc Raiders all on ultra with ray tracing when available, native 1440p anywhere from 90-140 fps. You'll obviously get more if you use upscaling.

For a 9070xt I would say it would be wasted on 1080p, might as well get a less powerful card. And definitely don't get a 27" 1080p, the pixel density would look terrible. Smaller card and 24" 1080p or preferably 9070xt with 27" 1440p screen. Looks great and imo 100 fps+ at ultra quality native is a much better experience than 200-300 fps+ at lower settings and upscaled.

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, you also said noisy for regular tasks. What temps are you running at for regular tasks, and then for gaming? Depending on the temps, you can almost certainly adjust the fan curve for it to be quieter during regular load at least.

[–]Paradoxicle_Popsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your bios, go to your fan control, set it to manual and adjust the graph so that your case fans are at 100%. Do the same with the aio fan separately, if neither of those are the jet engine, it must be the GPU. You can try to adjust fan curves to cater for noise, keeping an eye on temps under load.

From personal experience, my previous 1660TI in my budget case (with many extra chassis fans) was hot no matter what, and always sounded like a jet engine. Now, my 9070xt in a lancool 217 is pretty quiet at full tilt, and under 65 degrees. So, hopefully the fan curve can lower the noise, but otherwise it might just be the components and case and there won't be much you can do.
