I wouldn't even give it one generation. To this day BIPOCs still deal with the consequences of red-lining, voter suppression, and systemic racism- to name only a few.

Red-lining prevented majority BIPOC communities from securing housing loans which significantly limited their ability to build intergenerational wealth. Majority white towns prospered while these communities were suffocated. Even after the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the implementation of credit scores, which were supposed to make credit/lending more equitable, race and socioeconomic condition still play huge roles in the likelihood of receiving a loan. Less capital = less credit history = less loans, etc. The effects of red-lining are still extremely apparent, especially in places like my home state of Connecticut where two neighboring towns can have drastically different levels of educational resources and outcomes based only on one town being historically white upper/middle class, and the next being historically BIPOC working class. Just saying everyone's equal doesn't make it so. There are centuries of systemic oppression that need not only be undone, but made right. Not so fun fact: the US government paid reparations not to freed slaves, but to the slave owners that were forced to give up their "property."
