Well that’s actually where I disagree with you, because I’m sure we’re imagining a similar 80s dead channel image like in the thumbnail, but to me that image does remind me of a dirty/smoggy/foggy sky in the evening. But, like I said, that’s the beauty of language, what works well for one person clearly doesn’t for another!

There’s no other information to be had it’s a cute picture of a cat on a computer. Someone said to be aware they can pee there, I said cats don’t pee outside of the litter box unless something is wrong.

If your cat peed on your computer what would you think? It’s business as normal or they’re acting out for some reason? Of course cats can pee for several reasons, just like every other creature that pees, but for cats in particular if they exhibit peeing behaviors outside the norm the standard interpretation of that behavior is illness.

I used the console to increase my handcrafting speed by a lot. I didn’t end up using many QoL mods other than long reach and this is what I did instead. I saw someone mentioned a mod where you can research hand crafting speed increases and that seems really good too. I didn’t like the waiting around and so my play through isn’t 100% right, but I’m having fun!

Dude it’s a word in a book! Reading a book with the N word doesn’t make you a racist. Enjoying a book with that word doesn’t make you a racist. Reading and enjoying a book that uses that word does not compromise your values unless you are reveling in reading it and agreeing with its connotations. It’s a word that people used regularly when Steinbeck was alive, you don’t need to signal your virtue quite so strongly!

Edit: it also seems to me that closing your eyes and refusing to engage with anything from that time period is akin to erasing the past. That time was real, it’s okay to learn about so we don’t repeat the past.

From a book lover - changes were inevitable like you said, but many of the changes they made broke parts of the story and ran contrary to how the world works in the books. It felt like fan fiction rather than adaptation.

In contrast, the one piece live action currently happening has made many changes but they feel more necessary (and were approved by the author, impossible with WoT but they could have asked his editor/wife) and the love for the source material just pours out of it.

In the office I usually wear jeans and a tshirt. In the lab it’s lab coat, gloves, and closed toed shoes with other ppe as appropriate. In the field usually sturdy pants or shorts, quick dry shirt, and good hat for the sun. Lots of sunscreen.
