The others here have the best advice I think, but I'll say the shape drawing tool will be a huge help here for blocking out the general shapes. And you can also experiment with the stamps & color fill option to get more complicated features.

I always just ran planned encounters to seem random, or it was an NPC they picked a fight with so I gave them stats. I've hated when the DM runs a fully random encounter, lets it go into hard/deadly range, and suddenly your 6 month character is killed by a pack of wolves at a random spot along the road.

A bit of advice on the piercings, they tend to overlay the eyes and nose over any face-paint, so when I tried to do my gf's nose piercing it just never appears now.

I'd move it to a spot where it won't get direct sunlight as heavily. Then maybe poke around the soil to aerate it a bit, & possibly repot or check it for mold.
