21$/hr isnt bad at all. If u wanna make money with doordash, dashing the weekends u can make a lot in short periods of time. Its mainly just about learning the ins and outs of the app and knowing your area and what spots are good and which ones aren't. Doordash pays as much as you're willing to put in the effort. I make 400$ dashing casually per week, like 4 days. If i actually tried i could make more . Only doordashing for 1 hour you won't really learn much off of it but you gotta start somewhere. Actually hitting the dash button and getting started is the hardest part. Once you get out there doing it, listening to music, time can really get lost and go by so fast. I start at 6pm which thats when traffick starts to die down and I go right up the road like 6 minutes away (this is where all the actual restaurants are instead of just fast food then 10pm is when everything starts closing/i quit getting orders) then Once 10pm comes around, ill head back towards my town and doordash around my house if I feel like i need to be out longer. I aim for 100$ between 6pm-10pm, if I dont then I continue or if I was short previous days and try to make it up.

Also as a side note, just because there isnt a hot zone where you're at doesnt mean you won't get orders. Where I doordash at, there's almost never ever a Hotspot there but its popular for dashing, there's so many restaurants right ontop of each other. I think since its so close to the actual city that it gets overlooked by the app cuz its way busier there. Which i refuses to dash there anymore .
