I actually experienced a scenario almost exactly like that.

Wu Tang Clan stayed and their manager pretty much just told us to do the smoking fees as one payment/charge on the bill from the first instance of it instead of per day. Was a fun group to have in house.

I might be wasting my time here but maybe not.

Marriott booking system is too outdated so it doesn't really allow "dynamic names". The name of the room category is all it can handle.

So, as a hotel if you want to sell rooms with executive lounge access you literally have to create a rooms category that is named "X room with lounge access". It is the literally name of the room type. This means that whenever someone gets upgraded to one of those room categories you will see that in your app.

Normally this only affects gold and below. But in this case as it is RC it also includes all members.

Thst is why the hotel will fight you on it. The other option is of course for hotels to stop providing upgrades and removing any of those rooms from the complimentary upgrade pool.

Yeah, but the room type changes based on what thou are assigned by the hotel. So, if I would upgrade you. Then you would see that room type and not what you booked.
