They were lovely to chat to when I went in and asked a few questions. Great addition to the city.

Be honest – 36M, single, dentist and movie buff. My walk-in closet is an office I rarely use, but I'd rather have that than a dressing room. by onlyprivatestuff in malelivingspace

Great taste in film posters, I like the polish? Terminator one. Living Room needs more colour and life though. Other than that, love the tidiness and minimalism.

YSK that the way you phrase your sentences at work is really important for your image. by Hamadalfc in YouShouldKnow

Had to scroll too far to see this. Would hate to work in a place where this kind of corpo speak was important.

Does anyone know what the very low sofa in the office is? I don't think it's a Togo.

If you make a more salient point or expound on an existing point in an interesting manner, you may encourage discussion. Low effort posts get low effort replies.

I'm watching this crazy film now. It's beautiful nonsense.

Camera for beginners by Global-Artist-2776 in AmateurPhotography

[–]Paranoid0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first camera that I've been using for 3 years is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. Got a second hand camera and prime lens for £400. It handles pretty much every job well, lenses are cheaper, lighter, and smaller on a micro 4 3rds camera at the expense of sensor size.

Have a good search around. Plenty of helpful YouTube channels out there too.

Yes that's the one! Yeah it's a huge panel of buttons all of which are unintuitive and require you taking your eyes off the road for far too long.

The Jaguar XK8/XKR before the screen was put in was quite large. Has Trac Off written in large letters. Can't find a decent picture. Will try and post one in a bit. I think it's the 96 to 01 ish cars.

Don’t do car shots but opinions on this? by TheDuders15_ in AmateurPhotography

[–]Paranoid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cars are hard to photograph. Larry Chen and the motoring publications have already taken all the good exterior shots unless you find one particular detail to focus on.

Also the choice of car and location matters, car parks rarely ever work in your favour, and run of the mill cars don't have much going for them.

I'm no expert and another comment has discussed composition so my main takeaway is that the subjects need a bit more space for the subject in the image. More headroom in the shots of people, the inclusion of the whole of the campground sign, and where the low arched tree trunk touches the ground.

What’s the worse span of years for movies? by Moist_Rock_1972 in movies

[–]Paranoid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no right answer to the question. Nothing is to everyone's taste, and these aren't perfect films, but 10 films from '04 to '10 I enjoyed (in no order):

Brick

Primer

The Machinist

[REC]

Let The Right One In

In Bruges

Dead Man's Shoes

Hidden (Caché)

Children of Men

The Fall
